  1. Bring back Blocking (What is Masking?)

    Where is the Blocking feature, and what does new Maskng mean? Is it the same? How can I unmask somebody? Masked profiles do not show up on the Blocked list.

    Blocking is crucial in dating apps.

    I suggest requesting registration verification also using valid identity documents that, by current laws, remain private and visible only to the manager of personal data, but at least we avoid that minors can register. it is dangerous...

    I swear to god i block and report like 3 accounts per week and they just keep coming back, make creating new accounts harder for impersonators and scammers.

  8. Multiple fake profiles

    So many blank and multiple fake profiles. One person will create like ten or more just to be a nuisance. If not interested making another just to get to my profile isn't going to make me give in.

    I WANT BLOCK BACK THIS STUPID HIDE FEATURE IS GARBAGE AND SOME HOW EVEN AFTER HIDING SOMEONE WHO IM NOT INTERESTED IN THEY CAN MESSAGE ME.

    I’m not sure why the latest update has eliminated the block feature and instead has added a hide feature.
    If someone doesn’t want to communicate with a person, especially if it’s to avoid harassment, blocking should be an option. Why the change?

    Absolutely horrendous idea to limit the block functionality. Makes me feel unsafe/uncomfortable using the app. Seriously considering leaving.

  13. Drug monitoring

    The app is full of drug addicts, sellers and people that put at risk others with their substances.
    I see so many people here in Mexico selling cristal or slam and a lot of users of it, using emojis to hide their substance usage.
    I believes both a feature that monitors this emojis they use to talk about said substances is much needed, even it making a report to the police.
    For other substances such as Alcohol, tabaco, marihuana and poppers there should be a block for people that do not want to match with others that do.

  15. No way to verify a profile, like Tinder. Its a huge security concern.

    Making Profile Verification system, like Tinder, a mandatory to use Grindr would be very helpful to filter out fake profiles, which can lead to a more healthy dating culture & eradicate the fake profile which aim to commit crimes by snaring LGBTQ individuals in their traps.

  16. Cyber security - 2FA/Verification/Logged in devices

    The safety, security and privacy of users seems to be continually overlooked by Grindr up to 2024.

    In meeting the user need for app safety and security would align with cyber security standards being adopted by many cyber vendors.

    2FA - this option is really lagging for Grindr on the digital landscape of 2024.

    Verification - a way to gain assurance of user identity would offer the benefit of users feeling more safe and hopefully prevent misuses of the app by keeping it ages and user relevant with the added confidence that other users have been through this process and…

  18. Disallow VPN access

    Please disallow VPN access for the countless scammers who are trying to take advantage of people online. Most of them show within a 4-mile radius. The tech team must figure this glitch out.

  20. do not delete messages after block

    Please do not delete messages. Show “this user blocked you” instead of deleting everything. This gives option to report users.
