Require face verification for private albums to prevent fake photos, identity theft, scams, and catfishing
Unverified private albums allow users to upload someone else's photos, leading to identity misuse, scams, and catfishing. Please add strict face verification for private albums so only verified users can create them. This would make Grindr much safer.

Phishing & Bot Profiles
How does this happen? A completely systemic plague of bot profiles spreading phishing attacks with malicious links, and some of them actually can engage in conversation to an extent that if someone wouldn’t really know what to look for or telltale signs of it, would certainly fall into a trap. Make signing up more secure and a wee bit harder than the current state of “just a email and password will do”

I want different sound notifications. Everyone knows the Grindr sound and it doesn’t allow you to be discreet. However, I still want to hear

Stop making location so accessible! The blank accounts and lack of discretion on this app is already enough. Making it more dangerous
The fact anyone can see how far you are and location accuracy is scary. It may not be scary for people that don’t have much but for the one that do. This app is causing more harm in the sense of lack of privacy.

Block is no longer available
The block option is no longer available and was replaced by the hide option. Blocking a user is an essential safety tool in Grindr that can protect us from violence and harassment. Disabling it put in risk the safety and privacy of Grindr users.

Get rid of all the woman and weirdos thinking they are men! This is supposed to be an app for gay/bi MEN! Not woman with mental health issues who should have been swallowed thinking they are blokes! Different picture when at work
Work can be political, judgmental, consequential. Why not have a geofence around work where you can automatically display a different profile photo or have the option to be hidden to those close by. Then you can sign on, check your messages, make plans for later etc without letting coworkers make their own assumptions.

Turn off taps
Seriously this app has gone to complete hell. The taps are all tranny bots scammers, and hookers. Since you’re clearly not interested in verifying who uses this platform, at least let those who are showing out hundreds of dollars the ability to get rid of this useless feature.

Misuse of Hide Distance by scammers and fake profiles
Feature request: Replace “hide distance” with distance buckets.
Full hiding attracts scammers (often overseas) and wastes time. Show ranges instead:
<25 mi (local),
<250 mi (regional),
<2500 mi (same country),
or farther.Keeps privacy while indicating real proximity.

Allow multiple selections to hide or block from feed
It takes way to long to clear bots, spam and other distasteful profiles off when doing it one by one and each time takes 2-4 selections.

So let’s be real half of the people’s profiles that claim they are on prep aren’t anyone can choose to put they are on prep. Hey guys. Not sure if you guys have been told about this or not. This was an idea the members came up with and it’s been passed along from member to member. There’s been such a huge onslaught of scammers on the site as you undoubtedly know. It’s almost impossible to maneuver around it. Privacy: Option to prevent "Recently Joined" to contact you.
Ever had someone message you and come across very strongly? So strongly that it's makes you uncomfortable & after saying you're not interested for a 2nd time, you report and block them; only for them to return over and over with a new account 'Recently Joined'.
Reporting the account doesn't help in this instance, with the infinite recreation of a new one.The ability to block recently joined accounts from contacting would be a great option to prevent this type of abuse.
