    Ok Grindr we get it, you want us to quit the app and reopen it so it gets more hits. If you’re gonna try killing us with ads can you at least make them relevant to gay people? I’m so fucking tired of seeing women on every fucking ad. And no I will never buy a subscription because it is a total waste of money

    I understand the need for ads. But there is way too many. Way overwhelming. The ad rate is more frequent than the ability of actually using the app

  5. Paid Subscriber but Still Seeing Ads

    I'm a paid subscriber to Grindr yet I'm now starting to see ads in my message box. They show up looking almost like a message, but with the word "AD" on the right side. The current one says "Who's the A**hole, Episode 2."

    So many adds, I can'y enjoy this app like a would,
    Should have control about adds, when I open like 3 chats , the app show me add, then, I go out to app and back, the same, opnes 3 chats and the app show me add, and those adds show's when I'm searching persons in home app.

  7. Ethnicity options, Latino for Hispanic

    Latino is not the same as Hispanic.
    Latinos should be Europeans who speak languages derivate from Latin.
    People from Central, South American countries are Hispanic mostly.
    Could be better change Latinos for Hispanics in Etnicity options

  8. Stop force pushing ad messages after we have deleted it!!

    If I open and read an ad message from Grindr, such as the ad message for Monkeypox, LET ME DELETE THE AD!

    I’m constantly deleting ad messages from Grindr because they are resent after I delete them.

    LET US DELETE THEM ONCE AND BE DONE WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I recently started working with cryptocurrency and want to move as many of my payments as possible into this system. One of my first steps is switching to a hosting provider that accepts crypto.   10. there is too much advertising!

    It is very stressful trying to chat with someone. Every time I open a chat, I get an ad, no matter how many times I close and open the app, even when I see the full ad. The last time I wanted to see an ephemeral photo, and when I opened it I got an advertisement and I couldn't see the photo. Please fix this, it really doesn't make me want to continue using the app, and on top of that the cost of "Xtra" is too expensive. I can't pay that much. Make Grindr great again!

  11. Ads way too obtrusive

    Ads are just way to obtrusive and intrusive, popping up while you're typing a message and because you're typing it registers a click and takes you straight to the app store, as soon as you open the app, nearly every time you click off a profile.

    Ads on a free account is pretty reasonable, but tone them down and not right while you're typing out a message or scrolling photos. And banners that are constantly covering up information.

    I as other complainants on here , am annoyed by the always misplaced advertising , sometimes in the middle of typing a response to someone which is extra annoying .
    What else bothers me is that the ads seem to be targeting hetero interest groups ( eg I get job at BHP MINING - and ladies fashion or stupid hetero social apps )

    I would welcome that Grindr looks at other gay social apps ( romeo hornet jack’d scruff squirt etc ) how they handle their advertising , subtle , and I am sure they make enough profit from their…

  13. Not a feature request, just a suggested

    Modify your ads! It seems like every time a button is pushed, an ad must play. Most people probably just watch for the arrows or "x" to show up - not watching the ad!

    I get that you need to make money, but isn't costing you clients at this point? I now have an account with Jack'd.... far less ads.... and people, but it's better than sitting through unwanted ads over and over and over and over.....

  14. To many ads.. if they made the subscriptios cheaper then more people would sign up which would mean more revinue so they use less ads

    There are ads and I understand the functionality of them but some ads can be very long and they get more and more frequent. It's like watching an infomercial. I suggest that Grindr give a choice to view one of these long ads to gain something else in the process. Like expanding your search by (x) amount of profiles, or to give you a temporary profile boost, or even viewing the locked profiles that have recently viewed you.     As of now, I’m not able to afford a subscription on Grindr, and because I’m not paying, the ads are just too much. Please give us a break! Do the Grindr gods think they will ad us into submission until we buy a subscription?! No. You’re going to start losing bodies if you keep up with the ad blitz.

    You go out from the app for a second, you back bang! An ad!
    You’re seeing profiles, bang! An ad
