Change your business model to provide a good product vs subscription fees to make less annoying
Worst app ever. After all these years, I hate it. And I use a lot of apps.
Can you please replace the CEO or VP of Product Design with someone who wants to build a team whose goal is to make a good product vs a bad product that you have to pay subscription feels to make less annoying.
Grindr's Product Design Goals:
Free = Bad UX.
$$ = Less Bad UX
$$$ = Very Average UX
$$$$ = Same UX but with Features you don't want
Paying for Unlimited should actually remove ads...but it doesn't. Ads show up in messages over and over and over and over...and over...and over...and over...and over. Additionally, you have these full screen pop up ads for your other upsell features.
I hope whoever came up with that enhancement and UX, gets fired.
I guess "no ads" means..."no ads others than ours". A pop-up ad or ads mixed in with message (same method the bots use) is the most low brow UX method for marketing and upselling. It's 2025 and your UI/UX teams are complicit, complacent, and out of touch.
