Mock Locations makes trilateration very easy. In other words people can pin-point your precise location by knowing your distance from 3 or so sets of GPS coordinates. And if your think turning off your distance would prevent this. If someone really wants to find your location, they can just create another profile and spoof that one until you’re “sandwiched in” between two profiles on their grid of known distance that are similar.

Mock locations allow fake profiles to deceive. Find another way to catch your cheating bf that doesn't effect an entire platform of people.

Obvs they disabled mock locations so that users are forced to pay Thier subscription to use the location feature in app

Please dont do this!!! It would be a gift to all the fakers out there. If you do decide to introduce this, please make sure that it is clearly marked that the position is fake… preferrably with a big red frame around the profile picture.

In vain we write to add location simulation and they do everything as I want.

They’ve introduced this in the uk now but you have to pay each time you do it 🙄

Definitely a extremely important feature for everyone using this app. When I first joined Grindr., I has no clue there was at least a way to turn off the miles away from you feature. I have had two different individuals use the miles away feature to stalk and watch me. It was so creepy! One stalker found me and followed me to a forest preserve. I was there with my best friend her 5 years old, my teenage son, and two more family members. Didn't see him until I went into the.one person bathroom by the parking lot and within seconds of locking the door someone tried opening it which I thought really odd. When I walked out, I seen a older guy weirdly peering around the side of the building. Went back by where my family was and opened the app. Sure as shit this guy was like like 500 feet from me. I walked back to the drinking fountain by the bathrooms and it was definitely him. He went back to his car so quick as I turned my back to get a drink. I ran after him....wish I would have caught his ass too!! Dirty creepy ass old man. I'm sure there are far worse stories out there with worse endings. But enabling a ghost location feature would help eliminate some of the stalkers and creeps and even save lives.

People are already using mock locations with location spoofers. It's extremely common. Grindr might as well just make it a feature.

Mock locations are especially helpful in keeping people safe in countries where homosexuality is considered a crime. Please allow mock locations so our exact locations are not revealed and our lives are not endangered.
