In response to you comment it seems this is yet another company playing politics in a business organization and not just conducting business. Additionally it seems to be a case of discrimination on who ones what phone. No matter the fees for one device over another device, those extra fees should be spread out to all users from all device otherwise it is clearly a case of discrimination. I guess the CEO and the CFO need to get their act together and follow the laws of business. More users need to be made aware of the fact that Android users pay less for Grindr Xtra than iPhone users.
The price no matter which device is way to expensive. Would you rather have 20 people paying $100.00 for a year or 1000 people paying $40.00 for a year membership do the math a high price does not always mean you are going to make a profit over a lower price. I dare Grindr to test this theory for 6 months.

So when I was telling my friend about the Grindr extra fees, I was shocked to know they have different prices for iPhone users vs Android users.

On iPhone it costs around $136 per years for the Grindr, while on android, the cost is only $75 which is almost half the price.

Shocking honestly, so I emailed Grindr to ask on what’s the reason. In the reply, they said the reason is the fees and commission on Apple Store are way higher than android store.

Which I know is a complete BS, because I own some apps on both stores. The prices are almost the same on both stores. I think just because the iPhone is American, and android is sort of Asian and based mainly in Asia, and the new owner of grindr is a Chinese guy based in Los Angeles since 2019.

They want to raise up the prices for iPhone users only I guess. Is the only app that I know that has almost double the prices for iPhone users.

OVERPRICED is a more appropriate word.

For what they’re offering, how did did they value themselves to get this price point?!
People continue to pay these rates..mind blowing. As the ads for the free users get more intensive, well, that’s a sign to me their cash-cows of paid users is dwindling.

Agreed. Unlimited is way too expensive for the features we should already get with XTRA. I use Sniffies primarily now because you get all the features for $7/mo!
