We need to be able to report users, even if they block us.
There are so many people who are abusive, catfishing, stealing nudes, and doing other nefarious things and getting away with it because they just block everyone once they get what they want, or once they suspect someone’s onto them. We need to be able to report them even after they block us, so we have a better chance of stopping them! Otherwise, the app is literally permitting illegal conduct to continue and refusing to offer any moderation or protection for its users, which is criminally negligent.

I met a man who came over to my place and we chatted but I wasn’t feeling anything and I left the room for second and he happened to went to my wallet and stole $120 then when he took off he blocked me I didn’t realize the money was gone until three hours later when I lost the amount of money there’s no way I can actually reach him because he blocked me immediately which is why it’s important to add who blocked me to find out the person had to report them to the police!!!!!

People like to steal photos and use them for fake accounts. Pics are sent, then that profile blocks you. There's no way to report the account at that point. You should be able to see "recent hidden conversations" or something to be able to report a profile but not be able to interact with them.

There are too many picture collectors and fake accounts on Grindr. I feel a simple way to combat this would be allowing users to report it at the source. I'll give you and example. I've had multiple issues with sending a picture out to someone only to have them immediately block me. I know in some instances, this could just be a lack of interest, but in others, it's just a picture collector or spammer. As soon as they block you, you lose the chance to report them. Please add a "Report Last Blocker" button into the interface. This will allow your moderators to investigate more instances of fake accounts, and stop them at the source before they're able to collect profile after profile of user's information. These instances have always been incredibly frustrating, and kept me from using Grindr and talking to a lot of people. Take another step toward the safety of your business, and let us report people we no longer have access to.

Grindr, like any such service, is focused on money. They can do a lot - we have 2020 - to block illegal activities, but every person on their site is potential money, and illegal activities attract people who are looking for them. Grindr becomes, in a way, an intermediary who also makes profits from illegal activities.

I didn't realise that reporting was also included in with your block count. I feel that this shouldn't be a privilege for those who pay but more of a free service to report.
After all, it's the users who are actively reporting spam, fake profiles, bots and illegal activities that are enhancing the grindr experience for other users.
I'm not sure if you keep records but if you do, you can see that I actively report illegal and bot activity.
But now that I know that this reporting contributes to my block count, I'm less likely to report these incidences as the bots and illegal activities seem to be increasing.
Thank you for advising this, but I do hope that future app development will change the reporting policy so that it isn't apart of the users block count. Pardon me for saying, but thats nearly shooting yourself in the foot by limiting active reporters like myself.

The app should enble easy reporting of individuals and profiles linked to issues, such as assaults and abuse. As a victim of assault from a meet up via Grindr, I think it is important that victims can access conversations and profile details from those they have met, in order to easily report this to police. In addition, profiles should be able to be reported regardless of being blocked or not. The LGBT need more safety online.

Have encountered some racist and abusive profiles.
We should be able to report such profiles, so that they can be taken down if there are multiple complaints about the same profile.
