Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Everyone has a "preference " regardless of what you (grindr) may think. Having the ethnicity filter allows people to search within their preference. We could complain and say that the body type filter is body shaming people. But I don't see you all changing that. Or that filtering by age is promoting agesim. But for some reason the ethnicity filter is racist? Lets review this and reinstate it.

I 100% agree that this filter needs to be reinstated. I understand how this can be taken advantage of, but at the end of day, we feel more comfortable with one of our or we simply just have preferences. This filter is not just used to “get rid” of an ethnicity. It used to be able to find people that we can share a common aspect in life. It’s about the connection. We should be able to use the filter, especially if we’re paying for a subscription where all of the profiles (we’re interested in) are missed because we have a bunch of other profiles that preventing it from appearing. This filter will allow for more profiles (the ones we can relate with) and actually not waste our time searching for them. This is enough—bring back the filter.

Grindr clearly panders the Marxist BLM movement and the offshoot of activists who blackmailed them to remove the ethnic filter to make and ideological statement. I cancelled my paid subscription at that time. Grindr clamorously fails me as a dating application as nowadays my grid is totally useless as it's composed of:
1. People I can't filter in/out with the ethnicity filter
2. Trans, Cross dressers, Straight men looking for them, MF couples
3. Users paying for the "Boost" session showing up as close as 300 meters while they're 7km away or morePaying a uber expensive subscription for the privilege of spending the time of my life scrolling over and over and checking thousands of tiles that I would have easily removed with a tap is not an option.
A failed pointless messy product.
What's the point using Grindr?!
I'm basically not meeting anyone anymore and with the introduction of the Boost feature I'm considering deleting the app completely.

Everybody should have access to the ethnicity filter, not only asians or anyone who who is not white because that would be a discrimination based on race and it's no one business who everybody likes, that's undebatable and inscrutable fact of life and Grindr's hard left attempt at social engineering is a con and will never ever succeed in coercing people to go against their desires. The idea that some bad guys used the ethnicity filter "with a racist purpose therefore we need to revoke it to everybody else" that I kept hearing as justification for the removal is pure fantasy and just toxic politics that has divided the gay community further. I already cancelled my paid subscription after the removal of the ethnic filter (and now with the conning "Boost" feature I may delete the application completely but that's topic for another feature removal request).

Please do not listen to this poster. The reason why racism is allowed to grow in the US is because we often give people like this the option to treat people as if they are invisible.

If guys are against an ethnicity filter, then don't use it. For us that want one, it should be these since it is important to some guys. Btw, i am a visible minority (Persian) and people think I'll be offended by that filter. I'm not, it is my preference and it is important to me in searching, like it is to many others.

I often see profiles that exclude minority subcultures. Meaning, the profile says, not into black, Asian or Mexican. Those profiles remain intact. I confronted a racist user. And was sent a message saying I was being harassing. You guys need to look into your practices. People show nudity, pornography yet there are no consequences. Leaving their profiles are in place without issue.. Is that because they are white? The moment someone asks if someone else is racist. It’s a problem. You guys need to figure out how to make this app equal for all races. Or say that it is for whites only!! I suggest an inclusion and diversity team. That way all marginalized races are represented.
