    Why is this even an issue? Why are we still talking about it? Grindr clearly either isn’t reading these, or doesn’t give a shit what their paying subscribers want. This whole thread should be taken down, or closed for comments. This would save the rest of us from having to read irrelevant dumbass comments such as these.

    Oh eff off. A) Grindr isn’t going to “fix” anything. B) They are NOT reading these, nor do they care C) Not everyone views this as your supposed “problem”. We’re gonna fuck who we want to fuck, where we want to fuck, and when we want to fuck.

    @john dough: It’s the same for me. I live in one of the largest and most affluent black counties in the US. I’m white. I moved here on purpose (too many white people make me nervous lol). I’m constantly being told that I am “obviously racist” from folks that have never talked to or met me. I was married (twice) to an AA woman (same woman, longer story) and have three beautiful mixed race children (they are all adults now). I’m constantly met with profiles from AA men that literally say “BLACK MEN ONLY” or “BROTHERS ONLY” or “NO WHITE MEN” — but *I* am the racist? Racism DOES go both ways. I’m an open minded guy that runs a company promoting diversity and equal opportunities…but no one will give me a shot to find out. All they see is “white”

    …it’s not always “white person that hates black people”. That is so very narrow-minded, but what can I expect here? I see plenty of profiles from PoCs that boldly state “black men only” or “no white men”. But I guess that isn’t racism, right? SMFH

    That being said: we are all wasting our time on this. Grindr is not reading, paying attention, or caring about their paying customer base. They continuously remove filters along the way (health status disappeared a while back, too). They need to either keep/replace all the filters, or remove them all. No matter what, I am going to be too tall to short, too big or little, light or dark, etc. to SOMEONE. Does it bother me? No. I would rather someone not “have to look at me” than having it lead to disappointment or, recently, rude queens telling me what is wrong with me.

    Face it, people. Grindr is NOT listening to their customers that are paying money for their service. They either need to restore ALL potential filters for ALL fields in which we can populate — OR — make the app free. I am sure that I am not alone being really pissed off that they gladly take my money, but consistently remove the exact features we are paying to have available. I’m confident that this board is only being used for us to vent frustrations, there is no one reading these but US. No one from Grindr, else they would have at least had the common decency to state their case. They haven’t, we simply are sheep until WE act and STOP paying for subscriptions. Stop lining their pockets and they will eventually listen, but not before.

    @Michelle Hinds We’d be happy to do so if they would restore ALL filters for ALL fields they allow is to fill out. This includes trans, ethnicity, hiv status, etc. I’m sure Grindr thinks they are being inclusive, but they are just robbing people of their monies.
