Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Did anybody notice that while ethnicity filter was removed - as means to fight racism - ethnicity from profile stats was not. I find it very... racist.

@Wh, you say "Before the filter was removed, I never had to block perfectly harmless strangers proactively just because I wasn't interested." <---- I agree 100%. It's so ridiculous that Grindr think they were doing the woke thing by removing filters, but it's counterproductive: it leads to people actually finding out they're not others types, makes minorities even more isolated (they can't quickly find others like them), and it simply refuses to accept people have sexual tastes that simply cannot be equated to the stupid woke mantra of "everything is racist".

Bring filters back for every part of the profile, please.
I live in a medium-almost-big city, and screen space is an issue. My filtering who I could see had no effect on others; they couldn't even tell I was doing it.
Now without filters, I spend lots of time actually blocking people so I can see more interesting others. I block the same people over and over, and I think they understand they're being blocked every day by many users who have had to resort to doing this in order to make room on the cascade. I imagine it's a more hurtful feeling than a filter. Filters didn't throw people away or shut them out. They just didn't show up on my cascade. They had no idea.
Before the filter was removed, I never had to block perfectly harmless strangers proactively just because I wasn't interested.

Bring back the filters! I’m a white guy and the only people I want to filter out are other white guys. This isn’t racism, it’s who you are attracted to sexually.

Always. Open. Willing to try new things.

I love Asians, a l non-white people. As a white person moving from Hillbillie MISSOURA, I've embraced change and LOVE the wide variety of people meet. They add character and fun to my interaction.

Actually Most racist & rude guys are Asians on Grindr, that’s why they have a lash back situation

I think that giving gay issues a race element by attaching grindr to "black pride" is a judgement error. Gay pride encompasses all races equally, the movement will only suffer by diluting a weakened goal further imposing a race element.

You guys made this app useless by taking the ethnicity filter out. It actually is more racist to take the filter out then it is to have such a filter. All you achieved is emphasizing white supremacy, because that is all one can see now: white people.

Before the Race, gender and ethnicity filter was removed, it was easier for me to find different people and races due to the state and area that I live. However when that was removed, it became harder and harder to find people with different race, gender and ethnicity. I don't mind people with difference race, gender and ethnicity and I feel like removing the filter made it easier to make the community more diverse than it should be

So because a few people were upset that no one was giving them attention, Grindr decides to subject everyone to this nonsense. You think removing the filter is all the sudden going to make me want to chat with guys I previously was uninterested in chatting with! Now I block a minimum of 40 profiles a day. My feelings may have changed down the line, but since I’ve had to resort to blocking these guys now, I will never get a chance to chat with them again. I am mixed race (middle eastern) and I DO NOT LIKE middle eastern men. What is the issue with that? Am I racist against my own people? And better yet, these guys who were upset about the filter, why on earth would you want to char with a guy that clearly is not interested in you? Have some self respect! Onto the next hole as I always say. I ain’t desperate for attention from guys not interested in me. And I would hope guys have enough dignity to not pine for the attention of guys who are not physically attracted to them. I HAVE NEVER STATED ON MY PROFILE ANY RACIALS PREFERENCES OR HANGUPS. I kept that to myself. Why remove the ethnicity filter. Some nights I want Latin Dick. Some nights I want white booty. But I never, never want Middle Eastern anything! Just put the filter back up so my sex life won’t be such a mission impossible.

Race filters need to come back. I spend most of my time blocking black dudes, trannys and asians and mexicans.
I like some Hispanics, but thats it. Im not attracted to anything but white and hispanic and im tired of blocking everyone. WasTe of time and its annoying.
Who cares if people are butt hurt!? People want filters - those who dont, are just bitter and emotional pansies. The world has become a bunch of pansies!
Restore race filters or im ditching the app again.

It's hilarious. Done in the spirit of "anti-racism" and it turns out its marginalizing people of color, and preventing them from connecting with others like them. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Removing the ethnicity filter now basically forces minority users (especially if they're using the basic version of the app) to only see other non-minority users in areas were the population is mostly made up of members of the ethnic majority.

If I want a cheeseburger, I should be allowed to go directly to what I want. I shouldn’t be required to see the Phillycheese Steak, the hoagie, the hot dogs, or any other offerings - just let me see what I want to see at that moment. Tomorrow, I may want to only see hoagies, and the next day I may want to see the entire menu. But let me see what I want to see and not the company’s choices for me. This is especially important if I’m a PAYING CUSTOMER.
