Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Bring it back. It's ridiculous that Grindr will merrily let their app be full of crystal meth dealers that kill our community but apparently searching on ethnicity is so evil that it has to be removed from the app.

It's cringey and it's like someone used the gaise of racism which in face it is very racist. People want to look up asain men or Latinos or this or find lost connection you should be proud of your heritage not say oh racism exist so let's treat everyone as if they are. It's awful to assume also so was is racist because they don't have attraction to one race or more then another your not forcing them It's controlling habits It's yuckins.

I’m a black guy on Grindr and not only does this annoy me to the extreme but it also hurts that when I message guys that are outside my race (white/caucasian) friendly hellos & or compliments, I RARELY ever get responses from them and it always leads me to thinking otherwise. Not calling the app or anyone on it racist, but there’s no other explanation for it when this continues to keep happening. I get we all have our “preferences” and such, but if there is a certain race you’re attracted to it should be made KNOWN in description or at least in a filter instead of posing as someone you’re not and blatantly ignoring/blocking others for no specified reason. Not only is it rude it’s very indecent. Please make Grindr a BETTER place for all people of color to feel accepted and respected.

Grindr is not going to change anything. Think about it... fewer filters means there is a higher number of "non-matching" profiles on your grid. That means you are SPENDING MORE TIME on the app sifting through non-matching profiles = more money from advertisers + higher incentive for users to upgrade to a more expensive plan for a larger grid. You think Grindr is ever going to bring back filters and give up these new profits? Fat chance! You've all been duped in the name of social justice while Grindr rakes in the profits AND woke points. Remember, Grindr is in business to make money, not to make you feel better about yourselves or make the app more efficient! Next to go will be the age/height/weight filters because those are "discriminatory" as well.

Can we get a turn around time on this issue being resolved from Grindr Administrators or was this platform just put up to placate complainants?

Bring back the filter. We are attracted to what we are attracted to. It doesn't mean we are racist if we don't want to connect with every race. Enough with the extreme left wing woke people.

I'm a white guy living in a city where there aren't a lof Middle Eastern guys. How am I supposed to quickly look for someone without the race filter? The FUNCTION of the race filter was to ACTIVELY search for someone, not intended to BLOCK people. Blocking people from a certain race solely based on their race is racist. Looking for someone with a specific skin tone, height, age, role or relationship status is a preference! #dontfilteroutfilters

Bring back ethnicity filter or reduce prices. That's literally why people subscribe to XTRA/Unlimited - to be able to search for what they like. Fix it.

It’s not the same Lewensredder.
You are capable of choosing to be a top/bottom or versatile.
However, you are not capable of choosing skin tone and year you were born. -

Totally agree. I appreciate the fight against racism but if one were to remove that as a filter then same would have to go for position preferences which can be interpreted as bottom shaming, or ageism etc. I think general awareness campaigns would be a better approach. Please return the ethnicity filter
