Then there are all of the young whores hitting me up to see if I’m generous 🙄. I would love to stop these young prostitutes from bothering me. I want to be able to hide my profile from those nasty old men that keep messaging me when I clearly stated my age limit in my profile. I’m not “ageist” but I’m not into old men or self proclaimed “sugar daddies” that want to give me a starting allowance of €1500

There used to be a choice to set a age range that we are looking for. That choice is not available now. It would be a good idea to put it back. I kept getting age groups that I am not looking for in my search. Thanks!

Also if someone makes you feel UNSAFE..or is spamming you .. report them as spam ,Grindr will deal with them and after you report just block

this comment section is the reason we need a feature like this. so many older men will claim ageism when we say no to having ***. there have been so many times where i just haven’t felt safe on this app. i’m on here because i want to meet people my age and that isn’t going to change. too many men have gotten hostile with me for not wanting to suck their dicks and really cling to that idea of ageism without acknowledging just how predatory they’re being. we should be allowed to utilize one of the only gay spaces at our disposal without fear.

I like it when guys take the time to include the age range of the guys they are looking for. This should be an optional category for the guys that age matters to.

We should be able to feel comfortable using this app, if we don't like older men then let us have the chance to block all in that area if some young people do like them then let them have the chance to meet more of them.

Only be contactable/visible to profiles within age range. In your settings put an age range, then an option to allow/disallow people outside of it from contacting. Or an option to display age range on profile.

The thing that most people aren’t understanding is that it wouldn’t be just a block to keep old people off. There are young guys who like old guys and they would be able to choose to say, only have older men or even both young and older men. Someone may be fat, trans, or black and people are like sorry, ur not my type and that should be okay. Don’t bash people for having a preference. By blocking a non targeted age group on someone’s own “PERSONAL” account, it saves a lot of people times and saves a lot of people the rejections. Older people are acting as if this being allowed is gonna completely erase them from the app when it very clearly won’t. For the younger people, it’s not the creepiness to be worried about. Every 20 min or so I get message after message from obviously fake sugar daddies claiming to be searching for a baby so that they can scam u. I wanna be able to block older guys to stop the messages because I’m not a XL or plus user so I don’t have enough blocks to stop them. Verifying userS would work too but this alternative would be great especially cause not every old person wants young people either. Another thing is if u message them saying ur not interested, even more start up which all u can do is watch as the message pile up.

In the last 30minutes I got about 6 messages all saying the same thing from older guys stating “ Hey, text me on kik @username to be my sugar baby for $1000 weekly allowance”, and about 3 taps from them as well.

I'm tired of guys 20 years older than me simply messaging me asking if I want to be their sugar baby(5 times just this week) . I have clearly wrotten in my profile what my age limit is, abs they still message me.

If people are not respecting other people preferences that are clearly indicated in their profile, then there is a need for the option to enforce those preference.

Everyone has preferences and it's important to respect them. If people don't respect each other's, than rules needs to be implemented.

People on here outraged at the thought they wouldn't be able to message younger guys that don't want an older guy. That says alot about your ability to control yourself. You all can't be outraged if a young guy wants people round his own age when you want the exact same age group. These are my thoughts exactly. Sick old perverts complain of so-called "ageism;" yet, isn't interesting how these old freaks never message people ODLER THAN THEM! They're total hypocrites. Why don't they respect peoples preferences and not harass people who explicitly say in their profile "not into older or fat or black." What they're really saying is we should date anyone with a pulse and have no standards. Disgusting. I think people without real recent face pics of themselves should be blocked. Grow up and deal with it! You may prefer a certain age but you also may meet someone you look outside of it. It kills me when older guys write something like "<30 yo" or young guys write "no oldies", It says a lot about those individual's character and they deserve to be called out (I usually block them automatically. By the way, I'm in my 30s.
