For the younger people, it’s not the creepiness to be worried about. Every 20 min or so I get message after message from obviously fake sugar daddies claiming to be searching for a baby so that they can scam u. I wanna be able to block older guys to stop the messages because I’m not a XL or plus user so I don’t have enough blocks to stop them. Verifying userS would work too but this alternative would be great especially cause not every old person wants young people either. Another thing is if u message them saying ur not interested, even more start up which all u can do is watch as the message pile up.
In the last 30minutes I got about 6 messages all saying the same thing from older guys stating “ Hey, text me on kik @username to be my sugar baby for $1000 weekly allowance”, and about 3 taps from them as well.
The thing that most people aren’t understanding is that it wouldn’t be just a block to keep old people off. There are young guys who like old guys and they would be able to choose to say, only have older men or even both young and older men. Someone may be fat, trans, or black and people are like sorry, ur not my type and that should be okay. Don’t bash people for having a preference. By blocking a non targeted age group on someone’s own “PERSONAL” account, it saves a lot of people times and saves a lot of people the rejections. Older people are acting as if this being allowed is gonna completely erase them from the app when it very clearly won’t. Part of growing up is realizing not everyone likes u, not just old people but people in general lmao
