It's clearly there for some people's safety! Not everybody has the priviledge to live in a country where being ***** is legal/where there won't be implications for a person's identity. This feature allows people to be online and meet other like-minded people while protecting them from the monsters out there.

Distance is a critical feature if u have extra subscription, i will keep scrolling down and i might end up in a different city or even different country.

Just keep it optional to make the distance viewable, and if the user hides his distance, he can’t view others even if they’re showing the distance.

What is the use of a contacting ppl and finding out later on that they r too far away.

Tired of getting hit up by guys and have no clue how far they are from me, also lots of guys disable this feature to try to trick others by claiming they are local when they are not, etc. It causes a lot of problems. If you're here to meet, why do you need to hide your distance from others? Showing your distance doesn't reveal your address guys, stop the nonsense and make this a MANDATORY feature!

If you are showing your distance, there should be an option button for you to allow or not allow those who are not revealing their distance from seeing your distance.

Can’t agree more. I’ve chatted with people for long and sent pics at their request before being told that they are from 1000s of miles away (and I can’t vetify that as I don’t see their distance). Absolutely unfair and potentially breeds foul play.

The main feature about grindr was to see the distance. You should add the policy of if you turn off distance you can’t see any distance The app is turning the people hostile.

Users should not be able to have access to other users' distance unless they have their distance open as welll.

It is quite growing that more and more users resort to the idea of hiding their distance but seeing others', if deactivating distance worked both ways, not showing not seeing, more users would be motivated to leave their distance active, (or at least it wouldn't be unfair for the others).

Distance hiding should be poison pill. If guys need to hide their distance, then all distance features should be disabled for them. They cannot see others’ distance.

Distance must be required and supplied to allow individuals using Grindr to be safer and know that information is not being used inappropriately or in a deceiving manner. It will help curb such problems and avoid problematic people.

Paid members should always see distance even if it's been hidden.

The whole point about Grindr is how near other guys are. "Show Distance" should be a default requirement.

To echo the original purpose of Grindr, all profiles should have to display their distance.

It is important to know how far away the other profile is. If we show our distance then we should know theirs too. Instead, some have disabled that option.

Showing distance is very important no one should be allowed to hide there distance.
