It happens so often no matter how much it's reported or how many are blocked that in wonder if the spammers pay Grindr to continue their spambots.

It has become very obvious that it is your site adding in these profiles to enrich a location or a member. It’s actually very frustrating and annoying because I know that they are not real and I can also tell by the way that you make these profiles up,you have now pushed out even further having them look at our profiles. Is there a way that you can take me off this charade as it’s very transparent and It disappoints me greatly as I have been with a grinder for close to 15 years. No stupid email from go fund stuff is going to shift the majority of your members. No amount of fake porn looking stars is going to shift a membership of someone like me that has been with you for a long time it is not a priority for some of us. Reality and truth is paramount especially at this juncture we have all seen enough fake over the last four years especially. You know exactly what I mean I hope that you can take my criticism as support for this site. It does not need to compete. Add a putt on so when guys are on line & they start chatting to a guy if they ask you for money or they say I'm an Escort. Let them pay more. I'm cool with Escorts but they are taking over grindr

As you know many users are just here for sending advertisings or selling drugs or moneyboys.
I report them everydays and never have a feedback about that... that means that users dont know if their work for the community is really usefull. I suggest you to verify more the identity of the users and perhaps have more people to moderate. I also suggest to offer for exemple 1 day xtra when they allow you to block 10 true bad users.
I subscribe to be xtra but so many users like this and also fakes profiles... that i decided not to reconduct my subscription.
Hope you will allow us to have a good community here with a good mind.

I'm sorry but as an engineer it's depressing that Grindr don't seem to give even a slight bit of care or attention to spam and scams.

It's not hard to run a regex filter across profile text and auto-ban accounts that meet easy regexs such as ratemyshaft ratemygirth etc.

It's like a 10 minute coding and 30m test task and would improve quality of life.

Out of 96 pic 27 are spam age 25 with old men’s pic and ads to other sites it takes up most of my views and I can only snap so many then system errors and they all come back

I think there should be a basic standard of identity verification, nothing invasive or threatening to guys that want to remain anonymous, but something like a identity test, a selfie with their name/display name and email address that the moderators can use to verify that the person can't lie / impersonate / scam or otherwise use the app deceitfully or criminally. Personally, I've been stalked constantly by one or more people that continue to approach me using different profiles and other people's pictures while also using my pictures to rmdi the same to other people. This is the main problem with this app, and I believe it could be immensely better if there were measures taken to at least reduce the amount of freedom and ease these people have in order to terrorise people. They are allowed to bully dozens, hundreds, thousands with almost no repurcussions.
I hope this message reaches the right people, because I've used Grindr most of my adult life and don't want to have to resort to leaving it because I don't feel safe or continue to be victimised.

The number of profiles for guys offering their massage or relaxation services is getting out of control. As a paid member why is this harassment by them allowed to continue? I’m blocking 10-15 profiles a day from people selling their bodies.

There’s just too many. I block them and they reload their profiles. They are all solicitation for money/going to a web site. When Grindr was bought, it became more commercialized and less supportive to THE LGBT COMMUNITY.

I have HUNDREDS of messages like "if you want to fuck go to" which is followed by a malicious site.
Please make this stop .....

Build into your algorithm that would ban profiles that are directing to known spam website

If you are in Canada, then here's your legal standing. If someone accuses you of any violation that could be criminal, then they are accusing you of a crime. If they do it without proof, then they can be sued for defamation, Grindr has to let you know who that person is or it can be a party in that lawsuit. The laws of Canada will be used regardless of what the user agreement says based on recent Supreme Court rulings.
If you are elsewhere, check your local defamation laws.
