My 5 year account was banned because some meek Colombian wallflower did just this after sending me an unsolicited and snarky message attacking my sexual preferences.

I told him to either get psychological help for his obsession with bisexual men, or learn English because he clearly didn't understand what was written on my profile. He then sent a tirade of voice notes and reported me!

Just gone through the same experience as many others here. Been banned after someone on multiple accounts (5 to be exact) was messaging asking for pics straightout the bat. Given the blank, brand new profile and bad grammar I deduced a spam bot and blocked them. The then warned me on the final time if I blocked them again he would ban me for going against the guidelines. Doubt I'll get back on as it is a device based ban.

This old category is clumsy and insensitive. It has been said many times that it essentially "frames the mindset" of the vast majority of users who seek casual sex on Grindr.

The assumption is that if you are seeking no strings fun, you are desperate to shoot your "horny wad" within 30 minutes, probably because of drugs haze, guilt and desperacy.

What about users who wish to plan dates for later in the day, or even in the week, and are more selective/constrained about who and when they meet?

They have an advertising deal with them AFAIK. Why else would it be allowed?

My swim wear pics always refused for some reason but i see worst on others profiles I suppose is about preferences also I suppose the staff doesn’t like certain types of guys and they approve other kind once again is about preferences not to break standard rules regarding photos

I'm getting 10x more spam than actual messages. According to their phone number prefix they come from America, UK, India, ...

Currently I have to report them, but that won't stop the spam, because:

1) they just create a new account
2) what I mark as spam may not be spam for someone else

I would like to be able to add the words "GayFun" and "party" and "baby" to a personal blacklist so that I don't notifications for them and they won't float on top of my main inbox. (Maybe add a spambox to the right of Taps inbox.

Paying for Unlimited and renewing subscription but not getting the unlimited features for 3 days now, And then there is non existent customer service, so no way to find out what is going on. I have to tolerate the Ads, but really the App is not worth using unless you pay!!! Fix this or give customers a way to contact you to get what we are paying for!
Also lost all contacts and chats - not sure why I pay for this App but it’s useless unless you do. I’ve been a paying customer for 10 years, yet you can’t get this App right. You have the largest gay market and we are stuck with you guys. Shame you don’t care about your customers.

I also got a Ban too from posting a profile photo and then cropping the size and reposting it - was told I was spamming people, which was not true - And had to start a new account, losing all my contacts and chats

The whole point of this App is to meet guys, and chat with them - You make it easy for so many guys to to not have a set profile with a name and not be accountable for their treatment of others and then we lose contacts if those men we spend hours and weeks finding that are actually worth talking to!
It is frustrating and makes me sick to have to pay to try find those men for a second time all over again. And that I don’t have their chats I have paid money to find.
I know you legally disclaim any responsibility, but how about customer satisfaction and giving us a product that works for the amount of money we pay!

They simply need to filter urls which Match urls in content specifically reported as spam and confirmed by a moderator.
When a moderator verifies phishing activity A script searches then banned profile and outgoing messages for hyperlinks,
Those urls then added to a ban list, and then are incompatible inputs for profile and message text input.
The same way the app won’t let us put the word COCK in our screen name.

Allow people to leave reviews of other users (star rating and description of experience with the person). This is will reduce the risk of other users having negative experiences with people that are known to have repeated patterns of behavior that are problematic such as lying and risky behavior (drug use). Reviews could be rejected if they are run potential for libel. Guidelines could be created and enforced while reviews go through an approval process.
