Users who have been reported for impersonation 3 or more times BUT have verified their profile with the Grindr moderators should get an orange, black, or blue checkmark placed at the bottom of their profile. Photo verification doesn't need to be mandatory for all users, but when a profile HAS been verified, it would be helpful for other users to know, so that no more suspicion arises.

Why does Grindr allow someone to send physically violent threats, and then enable them to delete their account to remove all evidence? Someone who claims he passes me on the street daily just threatened to break my jaw.
When someone deletes their profile or blocks you, messages from them should remain on your phone (as is the case with Facebook Messenger). I now cannot report this abuse because I have absolutely no proof that he ever contacted me. This is poor. -

Can't believe this only has 37 votes. More to the point I can't believe it needs voted for. Too many trolls and abusive toolbags out there that just make a new profile when blocked or banned.

I agree completely. I’ll get profiles saying that they are 18. We get to chatting and they are like let’s trade pics. I’ll ask again. Are you really 18. Then they answer my question with “sure, but why does that matter?” Like they don’t know why it matters. Age verification is much needed in this application as there are MANY underage users.

Photo verification would be great. Users who have verified that their profile pic is really them should get a checkmark placed at the bottom of their profile. Photo verification doesn't have to be mandatory for all users, but will be super helpful for profiles that are accused of impersonation, as well as for users who have had bad experiences with catfish in the past.
Linking a phone number to users' profiles would, too, curb the amount of catfish on the app. Users who have linked (and verified) their phone number should receive a similar checkmark placed at the bottom of their profile. This, too, does not have to be mandatory, but making it at least an option will add to the quality & usability of the app.
Facebook login verification is another layer of (optional and helpful) profile authentication.

Having the ability to 'unlock' your profile pic, instead of sending one upon request, would be amazing.

I couldn't agree with you more. My profile was suspended nearly a week ago, and I can't seem to get a response from someone at Grindr.
Last month I was stronged armed to update my profile. I lost all my data in result of the update. It took someone over a month to get back to me. Apparently the over whleming support requests they received during pride, delayed their response. apprently they didn't have enough staff to answer emails in a timely fashion.
I wonder what's the excuse now.

Why not save the last 5 photos that have been approved? I’ve just tried to upload a photo I’ve used before and it’s been rejected. I’m going to keep loading it until it’s approved

dishonest APP, no respect at all for their users. Grindr have so many double standards, and there are so many escorts, and fake profiles, trying to get users to sign up for "secured meetings." or guaranteed *** once you vote or join there page.

There should be an enforced age verification as some profiles appear to show individuals far to young to be using the app

Not a good idea. You can refuse to see someone without seeing a pic and if you want to see a true pic you insist they send one that is self-proving by asking then to include something specific like a thumb touching a lip or holding a cup.
Also it is a close proximity app. No pic? Offer to meet and check each other out. People met through lonely hearts ads in papers years ago and some still do without any facility for pre-publicising pictures.

I have recently been scammed by somebody asking for fare money to travel to London to meet me. I transferred it into his bank account. Over two days of conversation he apologised for postponing then asked for the fare money again. He was using a photo of a model as his face-pic and was very polite and easy to talk to and had given me his phone number which we never used,. However, I explained that I was not happy with that then I suggested I would gladly pay it if he sent me a proof pic of him touching his face so I knew he was genuine.
At the the words "This User Is No Longer Online" appeared and his profile and the chat disappeared.
Along with that his bank account details and phone number disappeared along with other evidence.
This is an unbelievable irresponsible state of affairs.and an abuse of ones right to retain a record of ones own conversations. It is quite clear this person is scamming many and can get away with it because Grindr assists him in destroying the evidence when he decides.
This problem is not just confined to criminals. It could be somebody suicidal or in a medical predicament or in danger No legitimate decent person is going to delete mid-chat without warning.
Please can we change this so that when someone deletes their profile their conversations remain at least for a period of time with the other person they are talking to.

Even when the Grinder App can’t stop the increase of the consumption of hard drugs like Crystal Meth, Heroine or ***** Cocaine on society, the moderators could do something to stop the use of the app as a “buffet” for people with addiction problems.
My idea is that every time emojies like 🍭🍬💎💠🔹🔷♦️ are used, the app will replace them with a blank space “ “. This would work even between private messages. The programming logic is easy even when I am not a programmer myself, it is a condition.
This will not stop people from going outside and look for those drugs but it will make it for them more difficult. Living in a city where I have found at least 30 users using those emojies, the Grindr App should not be an easy way to get drugs.
Hope you guys agree cause being gay should not be the same as having health problems.

My chest (above belly button) photos keep being rejected, yet I don’t receive any email telling me the reason why they are being rejected. Why is a shirtless upper torso photo rejected?

Any thoughts to eliminating some of this spam and these blank profiles? I scroll through and nearly 2/3 of the profiles are blank, photoless, or have scenery and no information.
