All of the illegal immigrants in the USA would cry if they put in a verification system as they would no longer be able to use Grindr for prostitution/drugs/trafficking/etc.

I like this idea. Or at least make it optional so if you do verify it will say so on your profile. I get hit up by young guys that I'd def be down for but I'm too afraid to answer because of the risk they're lying.

Please do better on your security. There have been too many spam profiles. And people that try to act like sugar daddies just to take peoples money. It’s honestly getting annoying and I’m about to delete grindr. My request is to please figure out a way weed out all of the fake profiles. Thank you.

This is much more serious than merely offending someone. I had a very disturbing experience. As a writer, I am known in my country and especially in my city. After sending a picture of myself to a guy, he recognized me. He then told me that he was going to write an article in his blog about my presence on Grindr and show the world what I was up to. The tone of his message was very hostile.

Now, I am not worried about people knowing I was on Grindr (I wrote a television episode about the app), but what if this happened to an 18 year old in a conservative family who was not out of the closet yet? The trauma of such an experience may lead to serious psychological damage or even suicide.

So yes, for the sake of cyberbullies who abuse their anonymity and Grindr to harm others, it is essential to be able to report these users.

They dont give explaination oy ban people that do not take nasry harrassment .

Most members are whores trying to get paid for ***. If yiu call them.out they will ban you. This is a bad business model and will eventually get grindr banned from business

In my country there are a lot of people selling drugs, we cannot do anything because Grindr spents a lot of time to accept our complaints

This would be probably the best thing Grindr should follow. The amount of "fake" accounts, underage accounts and people catfishing is absolutely ridiculous! This also happens on other platforms, but verification would definitely be good.

Why am I banned

Staff complaint. Not an idea. I have NOT spammed anyone. And I never will. Why then am I being accused of such actions and why have I received a permanent ban?

I feel discriminated against by your staff member Daniel. I put in a second ticket about his behaviour and he merged it into my first ticket with him and then closed it off.

Very unprofessional behaviour. I want a second opinion and I want evidence to show that I was spamming or remove the ban.

If Grindr introduced this feature it will impact the number of users negatively (they love it being inflated) and they need the inflated number to stay atop stats and sell themselves to the advertisers. Very simple, pathetic way to make money. After all it’s a Chinese company owned by a straight guy, nothing more than just a business

They don't care at all, you can create a new profile in minutes after having been banned.
Not only fake profiles but escorts also, in some towns, they make up to 25% of profiles.

This is needed ASAP, apart from the catfishes and prostitutes, i have a STALKER (police been involved and everything) who the moment I block all he does is create a new profile and continues the harassment. PLEASE Grindr, dress this issue asap!!!

Horrible idea. Ok maybe some pic s like trees aren't helpful but some of us are discrete but I for one at least want something so I for one have s torso shot, I actually specifically ask for a torso shot if I can't see it in any other pics I get but that's just me. Don't hate on those who aren't out.

Fake location is easy enough to obtain with appropriate software, however, it defies the sole purpose of Grindr and there is no justification to use it normally. There are dating websites for such purposes, and although it's not hard to discover such user, it requires some time and effort which is cumbersome. Technically, Grindr's system can easily monitor the rate of location alteration and if it is abnormal (e.g. 5 km/msec), the system can give for example one fair warning and ban the user if this continues.I cannot think of any legitimate mean for using fake locations on an app like this.

Today I was on and saw about 25 full underwear pics, with errction outlines, grabbing themself, and even showing their ****. A couple I had reported a week ago and they are still up.

I tried 5 times to post a pic of me in a swim suit and it was denied every time.
