Good afternoon, from a time to date, the Grindr app has become a market for buying and selling all types of drugs, this being an illegal activity, and it is really 70% of this type of activity.
I would like to know who the moderators are, where they are from, and if they really comply with the activity of moderating and regulating these types of activities.
I think the app has to be more regulated and controlled with good moderators.Atte. Luis

You need to better provide users with information as to a pending status of becoming banned for some matter pending with their account usage ... there seem no recourse for someone to obtain information as to their breach prior to their account being banned ...

How about you remove this policy and actually tell your customers what they have been banned for????
11.3 Grindr reserves the right to refuse or suspend access to any user, for any reason or no reason, and without any notice.
To be banned for breaching a policy is understood and respected. To be banned with absolutely no reason given the just provided with the above policy when one questions why is absolutely pathetic. The only thing I can add if you really want feedback is to read all the comments on these pages, there are thousands of critical suggestions but all seem ignored. Why do you bother??????

Bloquer définitivement les devices des arnaqueurs aux coupons pcs et autre cartes prépayés pour des drogues (chems) ou escorts (pay for ***) qui pollue l'expérience des utilisateurs français de l'application.

I've been here for about a week and most of the "people" i've chatted with are bots or just plain scammers.... What the ****??

A pop-up that displays when you interact with a profile that has multiple (say 3-5) spam/solicitor/impersonation reports. This could automatically warn users to be cautious of potential fakes while the moderators look into the profile. The automated message could initiate when you look at a suspicious profile, or when you open a chat with them: "Head's up! This user has received a number of reports, and may be impersonating someone or attempting to solicit your personal info. You're free to message them, but be on the lookout for suspicious behavior"

Well this is not an idea however I couldn’t find a way of directly communicating with Grindr support staff. Is there a new scam where men would “tap” another and start communicating. And after 4 or 5 messages they start saying their WiFi is acting up and gives out their telephone number? It happened to me 5 times in less than two weeks.

Being aware of the work of verifying the accounts of all users, I suggest you set up a recognition of keywords such as "drug, escort, service, sale, ..." to have an alert on profiles who are here to sell their bodies or narcotics. This will allow you to control profiles, target them and act more easily.
In the last few weeks, I have seen an increase in the number of people doing these illicit things. I am beginning to be disappointed with the application because despite many reports that I do, many come back. Eventually it would be nice to set up a system to ban not an account but an IP address of a terminal. -

Not an idea - a question. How can these bots or spammers tap or message you and show as 7 km away then an hour later show as 5549 km away. Are they working in league with Grindr or sanctioned by the app? Most of them are so obvious, looking for LTR or giving you undying love, thank fk I am so cynical, who would fall for that?

Actually @christopherB the “offline” profiles could now also be people who pay for the new Unlimited subscription. Part of that package is the ability to appear on Grindr “incognito” or as you say, Offline. Scruff has the same thing.

If you could display how many days the user has been a member, and if the user is a paid member, we can quickly identify what profiles might be fake. I have had the same profile for a few years, so that should tell people something about me. Sure, some people might create an account when they travel, but then that's for the other user to decide how to deal with someone who says they are traveling. I know local guys who create accounts, then delete them after a few weeks and create new accounts (and both turned out to be flakes who no-showed). Also, I get messages from people who are OFFLINE! Thats a sure sign that its a scammer. And I know who is a scammer sometimes from the message (starts with some lame joke) so people who have been members should be given some priority when they flag a spam account and maybe that account is suspended immediately (and if it's not a spam account then the reporting user should be 'downgraded' in their spam reporting 'value' if that makes sense.) Like if I flag 20 accounts for spam and they are all really spam accounts, then my future reports should be prioritized. So the spammers get kicked faster. I flag spammers, I don't just flag anyone I don't like.

This would make sense. Since Grindr has not figured out a way to block escorts, how about granting a free membership once you have reported 100 escorts? This will encourage more self policing.
There should also be a filter for transsexuals. I have nothing against trans, they're just not my flavor.

I actually think Grindr doesn’t know how to fix this problem. Will it take every person that subscribed to your bot app to unsubscribe before you do something? This has been up since june, and it’s september now. fix this, or credit everyone back

I have paid for this app for way to long, I get more Bots contacting me than real people.. I think its time to stop paying for this app.. Also i report pictures all the time that do not meet the requirements and nothing happens.. If pictures are being moderated for content then how are they being approved?

Why you don’t ban definitely those users that use the App for selling/buying drugs or for prostitution. You don’t verify the email address to register, you can make up an email to register with no verification. It is resale annoying to see more and more prostitutes and drug dealers in the App, no matter how many times I report them they still appear.

Best idea and still not "under review". They clearly don't care, and it'd hurt all the bots they allow to make the grid seem populated. I hope people wake up and stop paying for this so they go under.

So Grindr, do you want to make MONEY with this new feature? Here's how: Offer "verification" for PAID users. Once a paid user verifies, then they get a BADGE on their profile that says "VERIFIED". This way, you make MONEY, and we can tell who is REAL. Thank you.
