I know how to settle all of our issues with "searching" on Grindr in one easy fix.
I've read a bunch of different request tonight for all types of ideas.
Quite a few of you are not happy the Trans Tribe is here. IE: men only want a TS, Gay man has to block.
A slew want the ethnicity filter back.
Well, I'm Trans and I'm not a Escort. One day I want romance, movie night, or other times, I could "out Kink" / "out Dirty" a lot of you. Lol. It's the mood right? It's the connection and the attraction right? Or whatever wonderful thing gets you going. Sometimes I want good ol Americans *(any color thank you 😊)* sometimes I want something European.
So how do we fix this?
A new tab on our profiles. NOT A search ...it's... let's say a "DESIRE" tab.
It's a TAB we fill in for our "true hearts DESIRE". Must have everything Grindr has in their minds or is already here. But we can fill in their ethnicity, because it's OUR "DESIRE". As I said, I'm TRANS and I'm a Gemini. I'm already 2 batshit crazy people to start with, then you add in my Trans...well they need a button for just batshit crazy. But I digress, I would love to be able to just see only the men into batshit-crazy Trans. Or Trans with red hair. Trans in a tree LOL ETC.
The Tribes buttons are ok, but when I see a dude I might like ...he's in the DADDY tribe and TRANS. I'll be honest, it's confusing when I discover he's 5 inches shorter than me and looks like my kid at home. Hunty I ain't calling you Daddy.

There should be a filter that allows you to view people who have their social media linked (Insta, Twitter, etc).

I know you are trying to keep the app clean and simple, but clearly a lot of people are having a hard time fully expressing themselves in their bios due to the limited number of characters allowed. I'm not suggesting the room to write a novel but more space would be helpful. Also, you REALLY overcharge for your paid services.

I'm gouine, I'd really like to have a gouine/gouinage option, to filter people who also fit that, and not just top or bottom.

Let's be frank here, almost nobody is putting their "name" in the username field. It's definitely true for the Near East/ Persian Gulf Arab countries and the middle East/ Central and South Asia, where the bulk of users tend to be discreet or shy.

So I've been thinking of and trying out so many funny catch lines/ pickup lines/ punchlines to put in my username instead. For eg: N🍑ughty4punixhmen🍌

Instead of a filter weeding out those who are +u, add a filter in the search (like a on/off type) of “u=u hookup friendly”

If I already viewed that person and didn’t chat we should be able to filter them out. There are lots of blank profiles and if I already viewed that profile and our preferences don’t match I shouldn’t have to click on them again to learn I already clicked on them.

I was wonder if you can increase amount of Characters in the Name Display? My name it does not fit. I know people would like to use Headlines, rather than Name that does not even fit. 15 Characters is not enough. Twitter has more. I understand thats only for the Name. My name has So maybe you can add additional space fir more characters to display headlines. Thank you

Use the “accepts NSFW” preference as a filter for receiving such photos. When a user attempts to send an NSFW photo to someone who has their preference set as “never” or “not at first,” display a warning.

E.g. “this user does not accept NSFW photos.”

Since a filter could not realistically catch every photo, display a message for the photos that make it through.

E.g. “NSFW could not be determined. Would you like to receive this photo?”
