For the third time I've sent my home location to people I would rather not know where I live, and for the second time I've had creeps outside of my house.... if this isn't a safety issues then I dont know what is. Or atleast make it so that when I hit button accidentally I can remove it from their sight. I dont know about you but I'd prefer not to have creeps break into my house.

There really needs to be a distance range or distance maximum. Hear me out. If you are on an island like Key West, you pick up the nearest people 200 miles away in Miami or Dominican. You couldn’t get there if you had to. Same for Mykonos.

The same issue for Puerto Vallarta. If you’re PAYING for premium, you should be able to cut off the distance so that people over the mountains (huge barrier) in Guadalajara don’t show up in your grid. That’s what explorer is for.

BRING BACK ETHNICITY FILTERS. Save me the time and hassle of having to block my way through everyone else, when I’m only looking for my ONE preference.

I see profiles for guys who are impossibly distant, and it’s frustrating never knowing who’s actually in my city. Even ManHunt, which sucks in every other way, allows me to search for guys in my own city.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but as of a few weeks ago, any location map that someone sends to me in the chat, nothing happens when I click on it. Whereas before it would launch the default maps app (Google Maps) and show a scrollable map.

Location is not accurate

Good idea, with the explore feature and enough time/motivation you can narrow down pretty closely where people are at/live... even if they have the distance turned off. It is especially bad if you live in an area with a lot of users as you can keep exporing until you know exactly where the target user is. I think a privacy bubble is a great solution, set a custom radius where your location is randomized in that bubble. In this way if someone tries to infer your location Grinder randomly by tweaking your GPS +/- a few digits.

Just got done with a potential meet when it turned out that instead of living 2 miles away (like the app said) they were 2 HOURS away. Naturally, we were less than pleased. In this era of Google maps, location shouldn't be that far off. I don't need a million potentials on the screen, I just want the ones nearby (25-30 mi at most)

It used to work but as of a cpl weeks ago. I tap the location and nothing happens. How do I get Google maps back

You should be able to choose a filter based on a location (i.e. within 25/50/100 kms/miles) this kind of filter is available on any other dating app/website

Whenever I drag or go to a different location, it shows the same person in the different area than they originally were so I'm believing that the location isn't accurate
And when I scroll down in unlimited, it shows me the miles away but not the location or the area I'm scrolling in. I would like to see the name of area and location next to the miles shown

Location is never accurate and very poor quality.

I keep getting prompted to set my location while in the app. Location is already set. Running iOS 14.2 on an iPhone 7 Plus.

Geo location data in Grindr is worse than useless. Why tell me that somebody is close by, when the reality is that they are 500 miles away?

All users shown to me in large urban areas are dozens to hundreds of miles away. Where are all my locals??

This Location **** is way messed can't you ppl improve your locations better ******** as **** I get profiles 100 to dam a 1000 miles away from the location if I wanted chat with ppl that far I would go to there dam location doesn't make any since at all get with the program or I'm paying. I'm not paying for **** services so do something about it then
