I totally agree that Grindr has a bias when it comes to who can have a profile pic with only underwear on. I reported a pic today and its still up, so I tried posting a pic exactly like the one I reported and it was rejected immediately. WTF!!! DO BETTER GRINDR!!!

This is not up to Grindr. These are restrictions imposed on them by Apple and Google as they want all the apps in their respective app stores to be "family friendly".

This is an Apple/Google issue, unless you want Grindr through out of the App Store/Google Play Store. I'm sure this is due to restrictions they impose (a Grindr mod told me this, but it's probably public domian info).

This is a gay dating app. Scruff's ban on underwear photos is part of an internet wide erasure of gay identity. Grindr can fill that void!

I tried to upload a photo of me shirtless wearing JEANS and I got denied. Meanwhile tons of bulging underwear pics get by? The inconsistency is incredible. Why does Grindr even care if guys post underwear pics- they're all over everyday television, social media, in stores, billboards, and all other forms of advertising and is somehow seen as inappropriate on a dating social networking app? Makes NO sense. The bias in photo approval is appalling.

Really very bad. I saw some profile photos. Some people put nude back photos. You accepted that photo. And one guy full nude top to bottom. He just covered his ****. You people accepted that also. And you people allowed underwear pics some guys put those photos as profile photo. You are allowing all of us photos except me. Is this gay dating app or restricted app .this app used by gays only. And gays only can seen the photos. Not straight, females.or any other celebrities nor media. Check the profile photos of all people in Grindr and tell. How people are uploading nude pics, semi nude pics.

With this being a gay "dating"/definitely just a hook up app, why can't I have a display picture with myself in an unbuttoned shirt? It's quite ridiculous and your monitoring team are taking the Mick. Especially seen as most of us pay for the app!!! Instagram/Facebook/tinder/pof - allow better display pictures. My main problem here is, like I say, I can't have my torso revealed yet I see people in harnesses and pants with knee high socks, or trans, or similar, in lingerie. Your content control needs to be more relaxed as I've seen online, Reddit and other forums, that you're losing business due to unfair and pointless content control rules. It seems that some moderators allow DPs that they like, rather than sticking to a standard rule. #getagrip/weherefordick!

So true. Just my waistband showing and my face showing and i had my pic rejected 3 times in a row. Others have no face and a clear outline of their bulge to the point you can tell they are circumcised and their pic stays up for years.
