iCloud sync of grindr profile across multiple iCloud enabled devices. Chats and profile are simultaneously updated.

It would be nice if this occurred regularly and didn't require a manual backup each time.

I TOTALLY agree! You see SOO many, mine included, profiles stating that chats have been lost. It happens when you get a new device, as well as when you have to delete the app and reinstall. If you fix this PLEASE let me know? Please let the community know as well!

You would think with the recent release of the new iPhones that they would make figuring this out a priority as not to **** off their paying customers.

Cloud Backup for IOS would be nice

Could the cloud backup feature be automatic?
My phone automatically updates my apps and one of the recent grindr updates caused grindr to keep force closing. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it working again... so I lost most my chats because I only had an old backup. This could have been prevented of backups were automatic......

When will iOS receive this?
When you say cloud backup is that a backup under Grindr account or will it Save to iCloud local like WhatsApp?

it kind of backed up on my Galaxy as I constantly need to delete the app and restore as it always seems to malfunction after a period...but i lost all my chats on my ipad when i did the same please explain how to download from cloud on Ipad

Question for Grindr Team (or anyone else who knows) When you use this feature, do the two chat histories merge, or does the backed up one overide the current file? I got a new device before this feature was available, so have numerous more recent chats on my current device I want to keep, but still want the chats from my old device (which is currently in storage, but accessable)

I need to do a factory reset on my phone but I'm not sure about this new chat backup feature. When I look on my phone and my computer has a Google Drive backup folder nothing from Grindr appears there so I'm wondering where these backups are stored

Has anyone been able to restore there chats from the backup? I have not been able to make it work and grindr support was useless.

So the next thing it would be nice to have is the ability to backup my old phone (from 4 months ago), my new phone, and do a restore and have combined chats from both.

If the backup file wasn't isolated on my drive to where I can't see it, I could potentially do that process manually, but since it's hidden, you'll have to do it.

So I had a android phone from where I just backed up my data to Google drive...( Did it through settings in the app). If I now install the app on my iphone, will the data be there?
