Turn off taps
Seriously this app has gone to complete hell. The taps are all tranny bots scammers, and hookers. Since you’re clearly not interested in verifying who uses this platform, at least let those who are showing out hundreds of dollars the ability to get rid of this useless feature.

Bring back the old online-status! The new online-status marks users offline after just one minute
The new update (Version 26.2.0, Beta) marks people offline immediately (estimated max. one minute after being online). The "online"-Filter doesn't show anyone being active anymore, not everyone has the time nor motivation to use the app all the time (maybe that's what this 'new function' is supposed to be leading us to).
10 Minutes were perfect for making the grid seem alive.
I'd be fine with 5 mins too but this is too much.
I wouldn't like for people to know exactly from when to when I'm online.Why do you keep taking away functions that worked fine? You should…

I would say it's all the SPAM female and tranny profiles that you allow to make yourselves look more inclusive and like you have more ppl
VERIFIED profiles only. People should have to upload a picture of themselves, holding a piece of paper with a random number generated by Grindr + today's date, to verify they are the person in the profile picture creating the account. That photo doesn't need to be viewed by users but should be verified through Grindr to create a profile PERIOD. You should be promoting safety. You should also be making some attempt to get rid of the fake and spam profiles that are probably just affiliates.

Verification
Doing a verification process by requiring the user to take a selfie of their face to match their photos, more than one selfie would be preferred. This will give the user a verification badge, and I believe every profile should require this to be a user on the app

Mutual Photo Sharing
Introduce a mutual photo-sharing feature where photo albums are only shared once both users explicitly consent. After mutual consent, each user should be allowed to view the shared album at least once, even if one party later withdraws consent—while preventing further access after that initial view.

Customisable Notification Sound Settings
It has been years, and yet still there is no setting to provide the ability to change notification sound settings freely to anything else freely other than what Grindr offers. Can this be sorted out, please? Thanks.

Profile creation date
Please add a new update to your app that will allow us to see when users created their accounts. I'm sure this will protect other people from dangerous individuals using fake profiles.

For those who dont subscribe, some kind of spam-bot, douche -nozzle filter
For the most part sometimes its as convenient as hitting the block, hide, or delete chat option but after awhile these profiles tend to hit with some frequency and cause a detraction which then causes a headache. Theyre easy enough to spot, but the system could use some much needed filtration allowing us to dedicate more of our time to socializing.

Feature Request: Message Requests / Opt-in Chat for Safety
Hello Team,
I would like to suggest a new safety feature: "Message Requests".
The Feature: Instead of allowing direct messages from anyone instantly, the app should notify the recipient that "Profile X wants to send you a message," giving the user the option to Accept or Decline before the chat opens.
Why it is important: This feature is crucial to prevent harassment, verbal abuse, and unwanted interactions. Allowing users to screen incoming chats from strangers would greatly improve user safety and mental well-being on the platform.
