People should have to upload a picture of themselves, holding a piece of paper with a random number generated by Grindr + today's date, to verify they are the person in the profile picture creating the account. That photo doesn't need to be viewed by users but should be verified through Grindr to create a profile PERIOD. You should be promoting safety. You should also be making some attempt to get rid of the fake and spam profiles that are probably just affiliates.
