2. Disable albums on Grindr Web - Screenshots

   People often use albums to prevent their private photos and videos from being screenshotted/saved. You can get around this quickly by logging into Grindr on the web and using a computer's tools to save them.

   Albums shouldn't be viewable on the web, or, the album owner should be able to opt-out of their albums being available on the web-version.

3. sort distance by square mile sectors

   any person can quite easily triangulate your location, usually your home, by driving around and checking your distance. even with distance off, they can see your distance relative to other people on tne browse tab.

   very recently, someone has been claiming to be stalking me by finding my home with the distance feature. after looking this up, the fact that this is possible is horrifying and incredibly unsafe.

   the easy fix would to, instead of measuring your exact location, snap to the center of a 1 or even 2 Mi² area that you are inside. this means you can only be tracked to perhaps a neighborhood.

   also randomise the arrangement in the browse menu of people with distance off. the fact that you can still be tracked is silly

7. Fake profiles reported= incentives

   Since you don’t screen profiles when they are made, and it seems people on the grid do more security then you do. Once people have successfully reported fake profiles or bots maybe they can get a prize, like a free week of grindr x or something like that.    Hide option doesn't help at all.
   Sometime there are people who abuse you and bully you. but due to hide option you can't block them and they still can message you.

9. No show, ghosting, time wasters

   Please do something to help cut down on people who make a plan and don’t show up, don’t say anything and stop replying. When someone commits, they tie up your time, you stop looking, you get ready to host a guest, or you travel only to a fake address (very dangerous) or they just don’t answer on arrival. The only way to stop this in community is by the community calling it out. Even had a person I met 2x before tell me he was alone, invited me, and walked 7 blocks over only to watch him open his door to another dude, looked at me and basically shrugged and shut the door. Then said later he didn’t know who it was, he had just been referred by another fb. Why didn’t he tell him he was expecting me any minute? This and too many other similar happens all the time, probably due to drugs, sex addiction, whatever, but it’s getting worse. It’s just MEAN now.

    I've been on grindr for 12 years. I have always wanted a way to block and report without clicking on the profile. (Tap and hold. A list appears. With block and report as options)

    So you never have to be on someone's recent views at all... you can discreetly block without anyone ever seing you visited there profile even for 30 seconds..

    Proposed Solution: Mutual & Verified Album Sharing

    1. Mutual Access Requirement

    When Person A shares their album with Person B, Person B must also share their album in order to unlock access.

    This ensures reciprocity, fairness, and eliminates one-sided exploitation.

    1. Verification of Albums

    Albums must be verified (through simple in-app checks such as selfie + real-time camera verification) before they can be shared.

    This reduces fake profiles, catfishing, and misuse of others’ images.

    1. Unblockable Viewing Until Reciprocity

    Once an album is shared, it remains viewable until the recipient also shares their album.

    They should create an album called "ID" in which the person who wants to submit to an identity verification uploads 1 to 3 photos where their face can be seen. And subsequently subjected to a facial biometrics similar to Tinder so that when they share photos from their other albums and we want to confirm the Identity of that person, they send their "ID" where they share the photos of the facial biometrics and the app certifies the identity of the person, each time they modify 1 of the 3 photos in the "ID" album, it will request the facial biometrics again, with this we avoid so much impersonation in this app, which is not a minor issue.

I pay for NO ADS. And. GIVE US OUR RACE FILTERS BACK…. I’m paying for a service and I should be able to filter what I’m attracted to. This app has really gone down hill. It’s not worth $300 a year anymore.

    No one individual(s) should havd the right to look at my profile and their profile and identity remains hidden. What sense does that make. I feel a certain type of way and actually violated because who are you? My profile and Identity is just as important to me as your identity and profile are to the Individuals. A membership should not be required this feature. And If so then I should have and right, because I have rights, members or not they should not be allowed to view my profile it makes me feel like they have something to hide.
