I think that Grindr should rethink how the free version of the app works because I’ve just gone from Ultimate Grindr to the free version due to payment slightly out of sync with my wages.
Personally I feel that it’s ultimately rude that you cannot view the first person who’s picture isn’t blurry as I feel like I’m being rude and arrogant as well as inconsiderate of not viewing as they take their time to view the person and what if that person that has done the viewing in which you cannot view is the…1 vote -
Let me limit who can message me based on distance
99% of the spam I get is from profiles thousands of kilometres away (and this spam has increased dramatically recently). I also am not really interested in chatting with people who are thousands of kilometres away, that's not the point of grindr for me. It would be great to have an option where I could set a max distance for who gets to contact me. It would reduce most of my spam and also help to ensure that the people I'm talking to are more likely to actually be real people that are near me, so an improvement for safety…

Hide/remove/unshare album shared with you
Oftentimes I receive albums that I do not wish to see. It would be nice to be able to remove those from view or “unshare” the album on their behalf. Maybe can include a little notification in the chat for the other user that said “X stopped viewing your album” that would be fine

“Re-blocked” protections
This has been written to allow entry level users (non-paying) to better protect themselves, encourage them to remain engaged with the app, feel safe, and will prevent account deletion out of fear
In order to prevent or discourage bullying threats or harassment, in cases such:
- The abusive “person A” has blocked the abused “person B”;

Grinders colour palette
To add a feature allowing you to change the obvious orange and black colour palette of grinders interface so that it makes the app more discreet when chatting in a space that you would prefer or require more privacy.

AGE VERIFICATION
It's no secret that there are unfortunately a lot of underage teens who easily access this app and either lie about being 18 or admit it and people still don't care. Age verification using a drivers license, ID, or passport is very important so that people can be sure that they aren't being tricked and so that minors can be protected and not be able to easily access the app. Also so that older people do not lie about being younger. "Block back" Block a Blocker
This blocking process needs some clear thought.
When a user initiates a block he can unblock anytime he wants and view, contact, harass or otherwise stalk the user he previously blocked. Furthermore, the person being blocked loses the entire chat. We have a right to that data. It is a direct conversation and we are entitled to access.
At a minimum, blocked users should:

Report unethical behaviour
Being able to report unethical harmful behaviour such as cheating, manipulation, financial manipulation, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, other unethical behaviour. It is every companies job to entail a set of positive morals and should discourage manipulative behaviour and cheating. It doesn’t matter if it’s not illegal, Grindr has the power to deny anyone of it’s business and should review cases of repeat unethical behaviour offenders and prevent them from using any of Grindr products.

block email
if you ever fix the block problem... when we block someone it blocks any new account with that same email forever. that truly is a safety concern since you don't require real photos or verification.

Instagram Photos must be impossible to screenshot
Linking the Instagram account with a series of latest photos is an awesome idea for verify the identity of the user and also give more space for pictures, but it is concerning as easy it is allowed to screenshot them. They should have the same function of the albums.
It is a highlight privacy and safety concern.

Disallow blank profiles from texting you
There should be an option to disallow blank profiles from spamming messages, like a way to only allow people who have pictures on their profile to text you (if you have a picture on your profile of yourself), a feature that allows blank profiles to text you only on the condition of them sharing their pictures either privately or through their profile.

VERIFICATION
You need to verify users. I was physically attacked by a 20+ year old that was portraying a 18 year old that then said he was a 15 year old. You keep this shit up…you will be fucking sued so hard by those being attacked.
