2. Paid “Tap History” is low-quality and guarantees nobody sees taps. Why use them now?

   Tonight I logged in to check my taps after I was out and about only to find they are now all blurred (even the latest one) as if they were as interesting to see as views. While I’d pay to see views, I’d never pay to see taps. They are very low quality and 90% of them are spammed from the same guys I don’t like and you couldn’t force me to like without it being rape. Today, sending taps are effectively sending messages into a void that the recipient will likely never see. It’s almost pointless now.

   I would like to preface this with the fact that I subscribe to XTRA on occasion and unsubscribe when I encounter job instability or a shift in priorities from worrying about men- because sometimes it just does not matter. Historically speaking, I don’t subscribe to dating apps for more than a few months at a time, so aiming for 100% subscription retention rates is unrealistic

   I get this is a persuasion to subscribe to XTRA, correct? Was it an extra feature or something that was free for several years? I would respect the cash grab if it meant putting in work making an extra feature that’s actually good, serves a common need and adds to the value of Grindr. However, “tap history” feels like selling me garbage. A slap in the face. The interactions were already low-quality in the first place. I send them as, “you probably won’t like me but I’m interested if you’re interested”, which feels as mutual and respectable as it gets.

   Making this feature paid only decreases the likelihood I even send taps in the first place, because now THERE IS A 100% CHANCE users do not see taps I send, especially if the most recent tap is blurred and paywalled.

   To the product managers of Grindr, you are basically killing off the “Tap” feature at this point, there is no reason to send them or even look at them because you just can’t.

   TIP: If XTRA (or even Unlimited) came with more specific filters for my type and taste in men, there is a 100% chance I’d subscribe more often just to see more men that I’m more likely to be into. That would be incredibly helpful and I’d pay for such efficiency because it saves years of my life searching. But to kill off taps and put them behind a paywall is such a low for a product value proposition. Out of ideas to sell? Why has nobody thought about showing people on my grid I may have seen in public before I went home? Seriously, I’m not sure if the people trying to sell XTRA are thinking the right way here. I’m willing to give you guys money, but not for crap like “tap history”. Ugh.

4. Piano miglioramento applicazione

   Visto che oramai essere utente non a pagamento comporta: continui i pop up pubblicitari, molti meno utenti nella griglia rispetto ad un anno fa, non si può vedere neanche i profili che ti hanno visitato (ah si uno ne puoi vedere ma iOS! Non puoi cliccarci, mannaggia) se ricevi un tap dopo un paio di ore non è più visibile chi è l’ha mandato…. Ora addirittura ti compiono profili a 150km nella quarta casella ( eh ma l’app lo fa per te!)
   Ho un’idee che vi farà gufaganre tantissimo.
   Rendetela definitavemente a pagamento e penso dovreste aumentare anche i prezzi, perché dai diciamolo avete dei prezzi stracciati! Come fate a mantenervi?
   Se lo rendete a pagamento sarò il primo ad acquistarlo anche perché gli svariati bug e errori valgono in pieno il costo dell’abbonamento.
   Fatemi sapere eh così posso acquistare questa fantastica app.

5. Get rid of taps, nothing but a scammer paradise!

   Taps are nothing but a tool to try to get you to send $ to these scammers who pose at hot guys, trans, etc advertising services they want you to use cash apps to send them $, dont fall for it or give out your personal phone #. GET RID OF TAPS!!!

6. Get Rid Of Stupid/Features Buttons, Ads & High Pricing

   Grindr has just gone to Abusive for me to use for the following reasons -
   ● Way Over Priced For Most Of Our Community
   These are broken or unnecessary added features-
   ● Why are profiles 1mile next to 58miles away ?
   ● Unnecessary/Useless features - On Bttm Menus
   • Interest Button & New Right Now Button
   ● Limiting number profiles one can view on free vers
   ● Why Don't Filters don't work to filter unwanted
   things (If I don't prefer something Why does app
   continue to show profiles for it)
   ● Advertising is to intrusive & takes up WAY TO
   MUCH SPACE on my screen & don't need sound
   or ads that take me out of Grindr App
   ● Grindr more interested in $$$ NOT What started
   for "Helping GAY/BI/STR8 Men to meet up"
   ● IF Grindr wants to include Trans, Females, Str8
   Couples, Lesbians, Etc. PLEASE Do Create A
   Button for those of us that prefer NOT to be
   Shown or Hit On by their profiles.
   ● Why it there limits on # of Tags we can choose ?
   ● GET RID of HIDE & BRING BACK the BLOCK
   With All These Issues & High Prices probably will just start using SNIFFIES ( THEY have most of the features I want as a GAY man looking to meet other men PLUS it has map showing ALL users around

7. Distance Search Filter/threshold please!

   You have so many options to filter users that appear in the grid yet no way to filter out people that are 138 miles away when the last person I looked at was 40 miles away.

   Easy fix!!

   Just do a slider in the filters tab with a new distance filter. It sets the max threshold and doesn’t show profiles that go beyond that set mileage. Ooorrr maybe profiles past the set mileage show up muted like 50% dark and black and white. Yeah?

9. Aditional archive conversations tool (instead of delete chat)

   I dont want to delete conversations but i want to archive them in order to have a clean list of chats of my interest. I dont want to delete conversations because I want to see I already spoke with the person AND me/he wasnt interested. Also many faceless profiles (the itself and pics inside the conversation help me to know that me/he Is not interested already). My list of chats is really huge and its a real problem to follow-up, then the sexy guys that I still never met get very mad at me just because my sex-life Is too busy and grindr didnt make It easier. Too hard to be me, lol.

    Renové mi servicio premium como lo he pagado por años pero en este nuevo servicio al igual que meses anteriores me están poniendo anuncios cuando pague el servicio más caro que tiene esta app créanme no vuelvo a renovarlo están peor que nunca
    Y ya no recomiendo que lo hagan a los servidores.

    The price of €12.90/month for xtra was friendly and I had been setting up regular renewal payments for several years. The rapid increase in price to €20/month made me cancel the renewal payments.

17. Bring back distance from pin in “Explore”

    Showing your current distance to profiles instead of distance from the Explore pin is dumb. Yeah I know I’m in Explore so I’m expecting the profiles to be far. Why show the distance in profiles unless it’s from the pin? Seriously considering not using this app after all these harmful feature/ui changes. Certainly not worth the money anymore either.
