The amount of ads I’ve been getting recently is actually obnoxious, to the point where I’m typing this. I refuse to pay for the subscription. At this point I don’t even watch them I just exit out of the app and restart it. If it doesn’t get better I’m just going to delete my account and only use Sniffies.

This app is beyond greedy
The way you’ve gone about increasing price and ad length and volume as well as taken away what should be free features and monetized the absolute fuck out of everything - now I can’t even look at past taps w/out paying, like fr? Sniffies is 100x better than your premium bullshit membership and I’m talking their free version! Fuck this app - you’ve gone the wrong way and I’m done wasting all this time for the trash effort you’ve put out!

I can understand everything is for business. But getting good business something also need to sacrifice. Requesting admin that membership programs are good.But many people can not afford many facility. So they stick to free grinder version. Kindly check what best can be done.

Stavo analizzando alcune delle 904 idee proposte per migliorare la pubblicità e le funzioni di Grindr. Una delle critiche più comuni riguarda il modo in cui i contenuti multimediali e gli annunci influenzano la fluidità dell'app.
Secondo voi, quanto è importante per un'app di social networking mantenere uno stato di 'flow' costante? Mi spiego meglio: quando l'interfaccia risponde istantaneamente e non ci sono ritardi (latenza) nel caricamento, l'esperienza diventa molto più naturale e meno frustrante, specialmente quando si visualizzano contenuti dinamici.
In termini di suggerimenti per le nuove funzioni:

Grindr Sold Out
Grindr made a huge mistake by selling ads to this company that makes all these TS and “my big 10 in” profile taps. Have they done anything about it? No, because they are making money while the users that pay money are overall annoyed. But why fix it if no revenue is being lost? I’ve wrote support several times, no response…there’s no response because there is not a fix. Grindr is making bank by the rise in app interactions, normally to make their app look better before selling…mark my words…watch….

Stop with the fucking adverts
Absolutely infuriating. This is more about money making than providing a service. You seem to care very little about user experience.
Too many adverts. Adverts are far too long. Adverts don’t allow you to get rid of them easily, the cross at the side doesn’t work and I have to click onto a fucking Temu advert. It feels like you don’t care about the type of advert either. Temu is a terrible company but you allow yourselves to be connected with crap, this doesn’t really put you in a good light.

Stop ads from interrupting and deleting messages being typed
Stop ads from interrupting and deleting the message while a message is being typed - incredibly frustrating to have a couple sentences wiped just to get an ad, doubly annoying. At least wait until that message is sent, if you have to!

Better ads integration
If ads are required to fund grindr, the current obtrusive, irrelevant full page ads will ultimately lead to the app’s demise. You need to partner with local LGBTQ+ organisations, events and companies to integrate a discrete ads stream, or banner in a way which does not interfere with the user experience, and advertises things which may actually be relevant. For example, a local movie showing, local pride event, health supplements, gym memberships, activities, lgbt+ sponsored companies etc. This should provide more revenue to increase free features, decrease the cost of paid features and promote communities, rather than just annoying users…

It appears the business plan is to simply harass your user base to pay for service, not the ethical way and certainly not efficient. For every sub gained you have lost many more who have succumbed to the insanity of waiting for then clicking close x boxes on adverts. Some up to 4 or 5 clicks per ad.
Converting sane horny would be customers to insane horny and very frustrated wrecks surely isn’t an award winning, profit maximising strategy. The tactic of let’s pee people off so much that they pay us for the privilege of not seeing ads is…

Can you filter profiles by “recently active” or last online time?
I’m wondering if there’s a way to filter profiles by “recently active” or see when someone was last online on Grindr. Sometimes I open the app and a lot of profiles appear nearby, but it’s hard to tell who is actually active at that moment and who hasn’t been online for hours or days. geometry dash meltdown

Hitting a paywall, when I just want to report a Spam
I know there's a paywall, I don't have to agree with the extent the ads go for but here's an idea: To promote people participating in reporting SPAM (which I do a lot) ads usually come in after clicking on someone's profile. You could add the report Spam button the chat list/long press options so It's less likely to hit a paywall when I'm just contributing by reporting a Spam. Would appriciate it.
