Desktop/Web Access to Grindr
A way to log into/use your Grindr profile from PC would be nice. Some of the other apps have web versions and it would be especially handy to be able to use Grindr from web browser when your phone is charging or if you lose/break it

It’s back! Or at least in beta testing!! Can’t wait until it’s officially up and running! Shout out to all the developers and testers and supporters for getting this feature to the stage it is at now and hopefully to full production. You all very much talented and appreciated!

I know there are enough technical issues with the phone app, but there is still a big need for a website/desktop app.
It would make the experience much easier and more enjoyable when I am at my computer, and it would definitely (for better or worse lol) keep me on the app longer and get you more ad money.

It only makes it convenient and all the more accessible/ discreet enough for one to access the same on the go instead of downloading-deleting-downloading cycle. No loss of chats that way and also would result in more time being spent on the application. That way, the paid gimmicks would make sense as they don’t really compared to how difficult it is engaging people on the app as they all turn off their app notifications.

IS there a way to use grindr on computer. I see users sending me text on app using explorer but I wasn't sure how. Can you please guide. Thank you!

what about creating a version that can run on windows 11 platform that could be downloaded as a app from the Microsoft store? Isn't exactly web browser based but could open more flexibility with device use. The app already works on most Apple and Andrioid devices and can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play Store so why not broaden the list a little bit and add Microsoft to the mix? Granted there is a long and storage consuming way to already do this (and time consuming) so why not cut out the middle programs and get straight to just being more accessible.

I would like to be able to use Grindr on my notebook, as a web version, it is so more convenient to have as another tab than to have to check your phone all the time

There once was a Grindr for Web available for Android. I used it all the time and it worked like a charm with a discreet desktop interface that had the option to make it look like an email server for added privacy and utility. Under the Grinder settings tab from the app, you were able to launch Grindr for Web which used your phone's camera to scan a QR code on your desktop browser when you visited the site in order to link the app to your PC. I always thought they would bring it back after they removed this awesome feature years ago.

Why can’t it be treated like an email client? The old desktop interface was just like that. I believe Manhunt is still active they are more like an email client with a lication based grid as well. You as the user have to refresh the grid yourself as it doesn’t in real time by itself. I think that’s a good place to start.

One of the issues for this: Chats are stored locally on your phone. You would need to set up some form of cloud drive to store chats on, if you wanted to move from phone to web interface to iPad.
Grindr may have to store multiple resolutions of photos too. iPad and desktop have a lot more pixels, and the same image that looks fine on phone may be fuzzy on a desktop.
Desktops are harder to commercialize. Ad blockers are easier to program. Plus you have the potential for scraping information off .
E.g. right now Grindr shows me people who have been active in the last X hours. Good practice, as it means there is constant change on my grid. In principle a web interface and an auxilary program could login, harvest the images then present and create a database. More opportunity for spambots.

Lack of web interface. Sure, I get it, that you want a phone number to reduce the spammers. But I can type 3-5 times as fast on my computer than I can on my phone, and the pictures are bigger.

Sometimes there it is not able to install the app.
Because i use a smartphone from my company and the security restrictions don't allow only from the company given free apps and there is grindr not included. 🙄
Browser Google Chrome is free in our company an also the web page grinder.com
So i hope you give people as me also a possibility to use grindr....
To use a second smartphone is not the solution. -
