2. I think there should be some identification tag on all messages either get on your cant message someone

   To many ways to send messages with out identity . Can cause alot of problems if you don't know who your. Talking to and you just end up not trusting apps security

   Hay que hacer una verificación de cada perfil e usuario que ingresa a la aplicación y no permite el acceso a ninguna persona que no se registre con su número de identidad por que hay personas falsas con edades no correspondientes a la norma de dicha aplicación y actividades en ella así que por favor si se puede hacer la verificación de todos en la aplicación con números de cédula de identidad o pasaporte o DNI seria genial para que no allá menores de edades circulando y que allá perfiles falsos la seguridad ante todo

5. New fake profiles everyday

   Few ideas to help:

   -Grindr can add a necessary section that tells when the profile was created.This should help other users identify new fake profiles.

   -Also with AI photo verification which is used in badoo and tinder.

6. Profile verification needed

   There are way too many fake profiles on grindr, such that there is no way of knowing which one is a genuine profile. Like Tinder, you should have a face verification mechanism and a verified marker to at least allow the general users to distinguish between the unverified users and the verified ones. Highly necessary especially in places like India where I'm constantly struggling with catfishers and identity thieves. Please introduce this feature asap. Requesting as your paid subscriber.

   Mine is the lack of a profile picture requirement. It’s 2025—there’s no excuse for blank profiles, random pictures that don’t show your face, or endless chest pics. 10. Can't block anybody anymore, and people 15+ miles away show up on the grid for the non paying user

    Removing the "block" feature and instead making users jump through hoops to "hide" someone is fucking ridiculous and dangerous. I've had a stalker try multiple times to find/connect with me through the app, and having to hit so many buttons after long, scam adds that auto download bloatware and malware on your phone when you try and hit the miniscule "x" in the corner 4 fucking times first is downright dangerous. On top of that, filling the grid for unpaid users with people 15+ miles away next to people actually close enough to chat with is ridiculous. Useless moderation for profile pics (if you're anything other than a twink you can't show any hint of package, when there are literal dick pics/clearly outlined dicks through underwear and full fuckin hole on the 18-19 year old twink profiles I can see). Glad the gay community is still stuck in the 80s glorifying dysmorphic bodies on a piss-poor user interface that seems only to get worse as the subscription fee climbs higher.

    1) to use Grindr at my job using my location of my home because I don't want anybody knowing I'm gay at my job

However, for some, it’s also a space where vulnerabilities like addiction, loneliness, and harmful behaviours can flourish. This is not Grindr’s fault; people ultimately make their own choices. However, Grindr is in a unique position to offer support to users who may be at risk and to create meaningful moments of reflection and redirection. If a profile gets banned for example they could get a second chance if they go through an online DVLA style set of modules - a kind of reflection moment.

    Beyond the obvious chemsex, there are broader issues affecting our community, including:

    Sex addiction
    Social media addiction
    Loneliness and mental health struggles
    Drug and alcohol dependency

    These challenges are interconnected and have far-reaching impacts on individuals and our community as a whole.

    A Possible Solution

    I believe Grindr could adopt a proactive approach by introducing interventions similar to "speed awareness courses," providing users with a moment to stop, reflect, and access support. Here are some ideas:

    Educational Content:

    Videos or guides addressing a range of topics, from safe drug use to mental health and relationship challenges.

    Focused resources for common struggles like sex addiction, substance dependency, and coping with loneliness.

    Stories or testimonials from those who have overcome challenges to inspire others.

    In-App Prompts and Signposting:
    Gentle prompts for users whose patterns of behaviour suggest they may be struggling, such as, “How are you feeling? Need someone to talk to?”
    Links to helplines, charities, or local support groups directly within the app.

    Collaborations with Experts:
    Partnering with organisations like Dean Street or similar charities to provide resources tailored to the Grindr community.

    Reinvigorating efforts left behind by pioneers like David Stuart, whose work in addressing chemsex and online safety was ground-breaking.

    Community Awareness Campaigns:
    Highlighting stories and resources on social media, newsletters, and app notifications to ensure all users are aware of the help available.

    Grindr's Unique Position
    Grindr has already shown an interest in tackling issues like chemsex, but expanding its efforts to address other vulnerabilities could make a huge difference. Allocating a small portion of its revenue towards these initiatives would not only help individuals but also strengthen the platform’s reputation as a socially responsible leader in the LGBTQ+ community.

    Next Steps
    I plan to raise this idea in other forums, but if anyone has suggestions on where else to pitch it—or if there’s a specific person or organisation I should connect with—I’m more than happy to put in the effort. I’d even contribute my own time and resources to help produce something impactful.

    Grindr has the potential to be more than a platform for connection. It could be a lifeline for users who are struggling with loneliness, addiction, and other challenges. A simple “stop and reflect” moment could make all the difference.

    Prevent poz and undetectable and anyone not tested with in 6 months from seeing members that are negative or negative on prep help keep us safe from catching anything and put locks on people's profiles so they can't search for people while there status is blank so they have to fill it out that will help protect people and put a sti status on profiles as well

    Grindr I'm writing this to you today to bring something very important and something I know to becoming a huge problem here on Grindr. So the issue were running into is the amount of fake profiles Grindr is being attacked with. I am personally a victim of being stalked, harassed, and catfish. I can't express nor only how annoying but most of all a huge waste of time talking to a fake. This is something that's become a problem everywhere and needs to get a grip on Grindr before Someone seriously gets hurt or even worse. I had a awesome idea that someone could keep a eye on the platform that Grindr operates on. With less fake profiles solves data breaches and also will limit the amount of data stored somewhere that's costing you money. So to keep track of a profiles statues everyone from the date started will provide a IP address that is rooted into whatever devices your using the app on. This will create a reliable and more safe environment and experience to your grindr users and supports. I've used this app for years and I've never quit seen as much posing and faking for whatever the reason. I'd ask you to please take some time to consider making this app and more enjoyable thing to partake in. I would personally love to be apart of something that would make a difference that could have easily been avoided if it was only a topic of conversation. I know the people creating and using these profiles are obviously enjoying making more word and problems for others. I don't wanna see this app be jeopardized by a easy fix. 20. I find the app itself is very unsecured and potentially dangerous

    Unfortunately the safety is not maintained at all, the access within the app is too easily accessible as well as people’s personal information. I very often come across FAKE profiles where it makes vulnerable ppl feel
    UNSAFE including myself in certain locations. For example I was told that an individual from the opposite sex has had made a fake profile in order to expose a specific individual’s sexuality. being gay/bi/trans is a human right and it’s part of the community and all of us deserve to have a place to communicate and build confidence in our own selves through relationships. Prior to this the app has reached the point where it is used mainly for sexual purposes, but highlighting this takes away from other beautiful features of our characters.
    Please make it real, and to create a profile perhaps use a Personal document to approve and confirm the person identity. If somethings gone wrong you can still use the report/block button.
