Block
I’m not sure why the latest update has eliminated the block feature and instead has added a hide feature.
If someone doesn’t want to communicate with a person, especially if it’s to avoid harassment, blocking should be an option. Why the change?3 votes -
Allow to block back
There should be allowance for users who have been blocked by someone the same privilege to block them back. As it is if someone blocks you they completely dissapear. It happens occasionally that I tee up a meeting, After agreeing on a time and place I then take about 1.5 hours getting dressed up and ready, the meeting time has come and gone, I log back in to find the user has blocked me, and I'm unable to block him back, which leaves the person who got blocked vunerable to this kind of behaviour from the same person again and…

Instead of criticizing the Tina and PNP communities, let’s focus on finding solutions to ensure their safety. Cutting off their limited resources of safety and care is not fair. If we could moderate and monitor safe drug use, we might see fewer deaths in the community. No taps
Do away with the Tap feature, I have seen countless profiles mention “no taps” “Tap=block” I think that if so many people hate this feature then do away with it. (2) change the notification sound it’s irritating too loud. I turn it off in settings but if you get a message you still have that high irritating sound that can be heard 2 doors down.

Please do not delete messages. Show “this user blocked you” instead of deleting everything. This gives option to report users.

Scam accounts using profile text & socials to try fish for victims.
All scam accounts ask you to contact them on their socials in their profile text. So make it against the rules to ask people to contact you outside of Grindr on socials etc. in your profile text. All the scam accounts do this and with this rule change it would be much easier to report them.

This app is SO FULL of catfish and duplicate profiles.
I want a feature that integrates with social media platforms, scrubs your pictures, and alerts you if someone is using your pictures. If you get an alert that someone is using your pictures, that profile/device/email/ip/phone should be banned permanently.
Integration to Instagram/Facebook via API is possible, and people would need to grant permissions to access their photo libraries, which is an obvious privacy concern, but I would personally upload every photo I’ve ever taken of myself to a database that prevents someone from impersonating me.

A profile in all areas (maybe a chatbot) for drugs, crime and scam awareness
A profile in all vicnities which is active all the time
This profile can be a chatbot. This profile has basic desciption about drug usage awareness, criminal activites scams and safety guidelines
And has mutiple display pictures highlighting the guidelines in short pointsWhy a chatbot profile separately as all this is mentioned in privacy and security support pages
Because grindr users mostly do not go this deep in the app to lookout for the guidelines
