1. Feature Request: Blocking or Filtering Profiles of Service Providers

   I hope this message finds you well. I am writing as a loyal user of your platform to request an essential feature that could greatly enhance the user experience and safety for your community.

   Currently, there is a significant issue with the presence of profiles advertising escort services or similar arrangements, often disguised as regular users. This situation not only disrupts the intended purpose of the app for those seeking genuine connections but also opens the door to scams and fraudulent activities. Unfortunately, I have personally fallen victim to such a scam, which has further highlighted the urgency of addressing this concern.

   There are and have been drug seekers of illegal distribution of pills, drug seekers of street drugs, drug dealers selling drugs, pedófilos and molestation of children because Grindr did not have the appropriate and necessary tools to protect and inhibit activities such as these that can pose health and safety risks on multiple levels. Washington D.C. and the TDC have been contacted. I urge you take immediate action to ensure these won’t ever happen again and giving users the option to report another profile or activity is not good enough and does not ensure someone will be reported or followed up on by local police, FBI or CIA, and if pedófilos are traveling to other countries to have sex with kiddos that they are not doing so. Furthermore no one should be able to use geo location while in one Nation to enter a zip code or city of another Nation and chat with people hundreds of miles away as this can pioneer criminal activities and organizations.

10. Safety for country where homosexuality is'nt legal

    Hello,

    I come from a country where homosexuality isn't legal and I need to use a VPN for Grindr. Would it be possible to put other features in place to guarantee the safety of your users at risk? Like:
    - End-to-end encryption of conversations/photos
    - Possibility of configuring proxies to access Grindr
    - Being able to pay for premium in cryptocurrencies (perhaps the most useful feature!)

13. Permanent unassociation of email with accounts

    There is no way to permanently delete an account. Also there is no way to make it so my emails do not show up when someone enters my email into the log in screen and hits forgot password or tries to sign up or log in . Due to the extreme nature of the privacy regarding someone using such a site it is insane that anyone can just put in anybodies email who lives on earth , enter it in and hit forgot password and immediately it will tell you "an account is already associated with this email" even if the account is deactivated long ago. It still appears as though you have an account. Even if you have an account you should be able to hide the fact that you do . Due to this horrific issue my ex fiance now has entered my emails into the log in screen and hit forgot password . It shows account already exists . She has left me , taken my children . She has taken screen shots of this and my email association . She has sent it to family members who now are disowning me and hate me. She is threatening me daily and blackmailing me with this information to send it to my boss, coworkers m friends and to post it all over social media so everyone will believe I am gay even though I am not, and even if I was I am certain the majority of people using this woud never want anyone to know they are using this app. This has essentially destroyed my life and is destroying my health and every day is still ruining my life worse and worse each day making my mental health fall apart where I am sinker deeper and deeper towards something catastrophic . I have sent about 6 different requests to grindr with many many follow up emails to grindr and nobody has replied to me even once . nobody will even help or talk to me at all. Also right now I have no active account and to be able to write this I am forced to create a new email and a new account because this will not let me use the other deactivated emails. This section says my emails are not associated which is normal , the log in screen says you have an account already associated with this account ?????????????????????????????????????/ WTF is going on ???????? what kind of soulless devils operate this ??????????????

14. Add a function to alert of positive results for STDs anonymously

    One of the biggest problems in the community is the spread of STDs. People who engage on NSA fun sometimes to not worry much about warning others if they tested positive on STDs due to shame or other reasons.
    To avoid more people getting infected and others start treatment as soon as possible, it would be great if the app offered a function to alert someone that he has been at risk with another person. This is done already by clinics, but you need the phone number to text anonymously the other person.
    Grindr could create a function that when you enter a profile, you can alert someone about this. The person alerting would select the std they got tested possitive frok to let the other person know. This information should not be tied to a profile or saved anywhere for data privacy.
    The person receiving the alert would receive a predefined message saying a person they have been in contact with has tested possitive for the chosen stds. Ideally, with the message, it should offer some links or resources about the disease and near clinics to ask for treatment depending on the region.

    This would really help the community be safer and healthier.

    Without the simulated location feature, grindr would really be a boring, useless application, even causing users to reveal personal information about their own location, endangering themselves. so i canceled grindr's xtra package and will use my money on another dating app, grindr admins are really stupid to ban the use of location simulator

20. Highly Annoyed with Scamming Predator Profiles

    I am very furiously irritated with Grindr and how the app has diminished significantly when it comes to moderation, security, and quality of management and operation.
    
    I live in the Pacific Northwest and it NEVER fails, when I log into the app, I am almost always contacted in my DMs from a profile that has spoofed their location as being approximately 15 to 35 miles distance away, and the profile ALWAYS shows a picture of an attractive Asian man, many times going by the name "Li", who initiates a chat in understandable but imperfect English, often introducing himself by name in the very first message.
    Then his conversation advances rather rapidly with some very unusual off-the-wall & personal questions, and then he usually tries to move the chat away from the Grindr app and onto WhatsApp after requesting my phone number.
    And then, he tries to convince me that we are "good friends" and continues chatting about other random topics EXCEPT for meeting up in person for a sexual hookup encounter.
    
    When I'm tired of my intentions of hooking up not being fulfilled and I politely try to dismiss this "good friend" without being a xenophobic jerk so that I can try to move on to score a legitimate sexual hookup, "Li" continues to send me messages and ask more questions as if he has absolutely nothing else in the world to do except to attempt to collect as much information possible about me that I am willing to share.
    "Li" then tries to bring up the subject of cryptocurrency investments and how much $$$ that he has accumulated by getting involved with it and how I should consider joining efforts with him to make an easy quick fortune in the business.
    This specific type of bad actor fake profile is a Chinese Personal information collector attempting to operate what is known as a "Pig Butchering Scam", Google that and you'll find out exactly what he's up to.
    
    Once I found out what kind of bullshit he was trying to make a fool out of me with, I straight up told him yes I am an American but just because these idiot voters elected Donald Trump as President, that I AM NOT the gullible target he assumed me to be.
    
    After blocking him, reporting him, and trying to resume achieving my goal of getting laid instead of getting scammed or my time wasted, "Li" or some other similar form of "Li:" attempts to start a conversation in my DMs ALL OVER AGAIN almost immediately and every damn time I log onto this severely compromised app.
    And I know exactly what it is and have come to expect it when I get a notification, before I even open the message or look at the profile. And if I look at the profile and it so happens to depict the image of an Asian or Chinese man, I immediately respond to the chat message he sends with very insulting and offensive traditional Chinese character phrases to let him know that I will NOT be played for a fool, and then he will apparently block me because his profile and DM shortly vanishes afterwards.

    But then, like the damn Hydra monster that regenerates 2 heads in the place of every 1 head that gets decapitated, some form of "Li" comes right back like Jesus Christ on the 3rd day to annoy and harass me again just so I can respond to his messages with obscenities and insults written in his native 1st language.
    I swear I believe these Chinese Information Collectors must get turned on, amused and excited for me to tell them upfront how their mother is a walking Petri dish of a multitude of various sources of different DNA and their father smells like a kangaroo confined in a jail cage and how disgusting and cruel they are for eating dogs and cats in their traditional cuisine.
    
    I normally am very politically correct and try to avoid being ignorant and slinging bad stereotypical comments, but I am damn SICK AND TIRED of these cutthroat international con-artists wasting my time whenever I am on a mission to get some decent local phallic therapy and I am HIGHLY PISSED OFF that you inefficient ineffective moderators and management of Grindr safety and security DON'T seem to be doing a damn thing to STOP this shit. DO BETTER or find some employees who knows what the hell they are supposed to do in order to provide quality service and satisfaction with this shitty app.
