With the number of glitches, bugs. Illegal activities and REAL detrimental problems on Grindr THIS is a priority? Its ludicrous to assert that there are enough trans or biological women on Grindr to insight so much vitriol. If anything their presence is more detectable because unlike many gays they actually post pictures of themselves. Not cropped body parts or hide behind memes or blank profiles. Blocking is a better solution than bitching about something you KNOW they wont change. I find it rather simple to do as i scroll actual bios rather than jumping to check any profile with a picture... Besides im quite sure there ar far less trans and biological women here than the effeminate men, cross dressers and drag queens that BELONG to your gay M4M Community...because BELIEVE ME majority of u aren't as masc as u THINK u are. Truthfully if it weren't for those masculine DL Bi and transattracted men specifically seeking trans, females and FTM, the women wouldnt be here... I am a transperson.and when im not busy responding to a large number of dms, or enjoying my conquests, im casually blocking everything I find as unappealing as yall find us. Lol!!! I've read thru the comments, and while some are rather pointed I don't find them offensive. I'm actually AMUSED that some of y'all are this obtuse lacking in awareness & perspective. Ya'll dont see the irony that ur bothered and mad at seeing "women" but had any men found u acceptable you'd be too busy notice/endlessly scroll thru "womens" profiles spinning a fictional narrative of transpeople taking over everything rather than accepting the fact that members of ur own all boy ilk, just may not be that into u! Blaming others is easier than coming to terms with harsh self realizations. Though Grindr may have begun catering to who one guy, bless his heart, refers to as "squatters." It remains a primarily M4M site by a landslide. Giving u greater odds than the "squatters" of making a connection. Basic common sense & basic math dictates that even if Grindr used the basic suggestion of removing "others" it wouldn't help your plight. Here's where that lack of awareness and perspective comes in. "Others" are the lowhanging fruit being scapegoated by this topic because the gays refuse to take accountability for shallow practices that have plagued the M4M community long b4 the internet was created.
Grindr could DEFINITELY do more by way of filters especially considering the amount they charge for premium services with lackluster benefits, But as time has proven without fail; as evidenced on other websites, apps, the bar scene etc, there will be a large portion of lonely disgruntled gays still making excuses for hookup failure. The reality is in EXCLUSIVELY M4M spaces, gays have ALWAYS WITHOUT FAIL used vanity and shallowness to create division & discord amongst themselves & nonchalantly claim "preference" to thinly veil their mean spirited prejudices under a guise of P.C. How quickly they forget their taglines of "no fats, no fems, no *insert race*" The bottom shaming, racism, agism, obsessions with cock size, masculinity & "straight men"...Just remove the "women" because the number of men on this site catfishing, prostituting, selling drugs, bored/playing games or dl potentially capable of harming someone isn't a real problem here. The women prevent you from getting the man of ur dreams not the fact that you may be too old, unattractive, overweight, can't host, not mobile, too far away, not interesting, have weird kinks/fetishes, shitty attitude, poor reputation throughout the community, seeking someone not in ur league, etc
Nevermind the number of M4M hiding behind memes or no thumbnail Pic, blank/uninteresting profile bios...or worse; a completely blank profile altogether. Don't 4get those of you with no personality and/or attention span either boring people to death in the dms or stalkers begging for nudes ..the thirsty ones so excited by a Pic or out of laziness disregard even the most well written bios.
A keen observer may strongly suspect this frustration with women on GRINDR is bcuz this is your last option 2 find a hookup because u can't in the real world. I mean there are more "others" in real life than on Grindr (gay men are the overwhelming majority) Lol The truth in all likelihood is you cant compete with other gay men in person. The attractive and interesting ones are too busy online & in real life to be concerned or affected by "women" who aren't their competitors...if the men are ACTUALLY seeking other men.
All this misdirected anger and frustration. LMAO! Its unlikely Grindr rescind inclusivity & its telling of the individuals thinking it should. The sensible solution is a filter or category selection at signup. Grindr's obviously a business...implementing inclusivity, increases potential profit. PARTICULARLY if strict descriptive "preference" filters and tags replace the MANY existing lame/irrelevant ones on premium.
