Set a cruiseship as location
A lot of gays love cruising on cruiseships but as soon as a ship is not in a port, the users cannot be located anymore. It would be great if you could for example add a cruise ship as location (for a certain time frame, ie time of the cruise) - independent from gps location. I‘m currently on a large ship (non gay cruise) with approx. 500 gays but it’s almost impossible to use Grindr as the location is always wrong (it’s a transatlantic cruise so even more difficult).

I would like the ability to filter those that can message or tap me. Would also take care of a lot of spam accounts I would think.

Eliminate bugs in unlimited losing options like free account
I keep getting my account benefits taken away and ads and limited viewing groups to see replacing the ad free larger groups to see. It’s a bug that tries to recharge me each time it fails (daily and often multiple times) to then maybe fix if it recognizes while spinning hour glass charged Ny card after freezing up leads me to being to over it with time blown, money wasted and people /opportunities missed or pissed off in long silence neglecting the few profiles I’m limited to seeing. Idea: fuck it so it works correctly. Consider compensating those like me…

Never an incentive or sale for different memberships
You would most likely get more members if more frequent sales w lower membership prices were advertised. Ie: the top membership is never discounted

Just be reasonable and realize the loyalty but competitors are coming up from everywhere around and as I'm and hope you're aware of you can gone in an instant you're holding cause you built up loyal customers like me who's paid for Xtra even when you doubled it to $20 which I stuck with cause lack of options honestly

Chats backup
I have been using same grindr xtra account from last six months on android mobile, and recently switched to iOS device and got to know that there is no way to restore chats across platforms. This is really frustrating. Atleast paid users should have this facility to restore chats across platforms. And how to do is to be figure out by you guys. Talk to both platform owners, take approvals, design the system but this facility should be available everywhere. I think you should add a button like the taps that says hook up or something... so that way it shows the other person who wants go get together or hook up together

You should be able to add your own tags and they would only be visible to the people who use the same tag

Lower subscription
Good day, so in South Africa the Rand is very weak and as such the R300 for Xtra is really a lot of money for most people. Don't get me wrong I understand it takes a lot of money to run this platform.
Might I suggest an entry-level subscription of R100 a month, I am sure many people will opt for that option, you can perhaps just have less features than Xtra but perhaps remove ads, a couple more profiles and some advanced filters.

Already reached out indicator
once texted somebody, the app should give an indicator that the person has been texted not just in the last 24 hours, but historically so that sometimes when we like somebody very much and they don’t like us back, we know that we shouldn’t text him again because they're clearly not interested but when we don’t know the person has texted or not, we end up replying to their profile pictures, or giving a tap, even though we have already reached out to them before and been ignored, and that makes us look a lot more desperate and makes the…

Limited access for unpaid members
Not everyone can afford the multiple services Grindr has on its app. For years, Grindr has been no 1 for gay dating and hookups. But like everything else, it is fast becoming limited in use.
Again, access to at least 100 profiles should be warranted. The advertisers I m sure cover much of Grinders profits and can easily continue serving the gay and bi communities without harsh limitations.16 votes -

Profile pics rotation
Function to set uploaded pics on rotation for set amount of time. For example one of you pics would come on yop of the list every few hours or once day automatically.
