1. Credits

   I know there is an unlimited membership, and a Xtra membership, but it would be nice to be able to purchase credits to unlock features. For example:

   Buy 100 credits for 10 bucks

   Viewed me profile unlock: 5 credits
   View more profiles for 10 minutes: 5 credits
   Boost for 50 credits
   Go incognito - 10 credits etc.
   No ads for a specific time period - 25 credits

   The more credits you buy at one time the more they can be discounted.

   Periodically have sales on purchasing credits. For those already subscribed to xtra, have the prices reduced for credits or reduce the anount of credits needed to unlock certain features.

   I think this would give people the option to pick or choose what kind of features they are looking for out of the app, and give them control over their own experience.

3. Now we have to pay to filter chats. Wtf Grindr

   How much more money do you need to suck out of peoples pockets to be satisfied? First you remove the search bar from chat and leave us with only unread, favourites, and online filters. Now you want me to pay to filter chats with people I’ve already talked to? This app is becoming more and more unusable, between the thousand women taking up 90% of profile space and the basic functions taken away and charging for them.

7. They keep withdrawing services

   It used to be that one could see who viewed you. No more.

   I have XTRA membership valid one year. Now they’ve added a new feature “For you” where I cannot often communicate with these people even though 2 km from my house.

   Like WTF. They want you to spend $50 a month for unlimited to contact them.

   It’s criminal to withdraw services after you’ve paid for them.

8. Not being able to see who checked me out without upgrading to better plan

   When someone checks me out I should be able to see their profile name and picture and distance from my location without having to upgrade to the extra premium plan but if would like to connect with them and talk or more than maybe have me upgrade to initiate a conversation or see more personal info in their bio and profile

10. Don't Squeeze Out The Free Tier Users

    I say this as a paid user - don't alienate your free tier users by removing more and more functionality. What makes an app like Grindr worth using is having a lot of other users to interact with. It seems you're putting more and more functionality behind a paywall. Many users can't or won't pay for the service, and if it becomes "unusable" to them, they'll stop using it entirely. They'll go elsewhere. And then, with fewer people on the service, it won't be worth it to the rest of us to keep paying for it, so we'll leave too.
    
    Want proof? Look at Manhunt. Back around 2006 or so they were the top gay site for meeting people, but they moved more and more behind the paywall. People left. You know where they went? Grindr! Don't repeat their mistakes. There's plenty of alternatives out there, don't let one claim your throne.

12. Stop notifications for viewed me

    The new annoying “viewed me” notification at the bottom of the app. No one cares unless it’s a tap. Please remove this asap. Such a timewaster!
    Also, any paying member should be able to see who has viewed them.

15. Stop charging ridiculous subscription fee

    Nothing but druggie upon druggies. Probably have diseases you guys charge ridiculous fees, but how are you even protecting your customers health. you guys act like you guys are doing some kind of medical screening or putting things in place so that people aren't spreading their nasty diseases around so the people that don't pay for the subscriptions get limited on who they can talk to but for my experiences, you're just paying to talk to druggies. For the price that you guys charge you would think that you guys would care about peoples health more so than you care about your subscription fees

16. Face Photo Filter!!! (It’s *not* been completed)

    Since we pay crazy annual fees on unlimited, there honestly should be a way to prevent faceless profiles from messaging us if we desire. The app is getting unusable and full of spam/website link senders/ people from miles away sending stuff without a face picture.

    It could be a simple fix like only allowing profiles with face pictures to message us, and if a profile is faceless, only allowing them to write a message after sending a form of media .

    Please, make the app usable, at least for your highest paying members. It would be a revenue maintaining/boosting idea quite honestly- I’m thinking about deleting this app due to the unwanted interactions.

17. Why we have to pay to view someone profile who view you that doesn’t make no sense

    Firstly, I don’t understand why I have to pay so much for an app that has so many glitches and bugs. Additionally, to view the profiles of those who have viewed you, you must pay, which is not worth it.

    I have Subscription for Grindr Xtra and it's is currently active. But I am unable to use any of the filters in the app and also I am getting a error alert in the app when I try to refresh the app, it says "The app is unable to determine my location" I am tired of this pathetic service.
