I had a flurry of messages this morning, when I opened Grindr to check, I had a notice saying that I’d been banned and that this was a human decision, not an AI one. I’m not sure what has happened as it’s been several weeks since I was online. It seems either my account was hacked or the app itself has been hacked. Clicking a link asked me to sign into my account on web browser.

As if this was not disturbing enough, there doesn’t appear to be a way to report this. I’d rather like this to be resolved and probably to shut my account if this the level of digital accountability that Grindr has.
