It would also create greater accountability and could help reduce harassment, catfishing, and abusive behaviour.

The blue checkmark would be especially useful because it would give users an immediate and simple way to identify verified profiles without revealing anyone’s personal information. It could become a trusted symbol within the Grindr community: blue check = identity verified.

I understand that ID verification involves sensitive personal information, so the system would need strong privacy protections and should ideally confirm only that the person has successfully passed verification, without displaying or unnecessarily storing their ID details.

Overall, I believe this could make Grindr significantly safer, more trustworthy, and more authentic while giving users greater confidence when meeting and interacting with others.
