Since the whole black life matters-movement Grindr adjusted the filters or deleted the filters actually. There is no option to filter on ethnicity for example.

Besides the fact that a preference in type of guys is not racist, the fact i can’t specify, it fills my grid with a lot of unnecessary profiles i will hide or block anyway.

I usually compare it to Marktplaats. If i’m looking for a bird, i can also specify my searchresults cause i’m not interested in cats, dogs, fishes or whatever. Same with type of guys on Grindr. It’s not like i’m shifting types because grindr keeps obligating it.

Same stuff with all the Trans-profiles/fake bot-accounts. I can’t filter that either, at this moment when i open grindr, from the 15 visible profiles, 8 are from trans’people’.

Don’t think that is what grindr was intentionally created for.

Hopefully from a different angle and perspective you can also relate that a filter is not a racist thing, but a funnel to specify what type of guys we are looking for.
