So many gay/lgbtq+ people, especially the younger ones are being subjectified to toxic hookup culture as soon as they are able to legally be on the app and grindr still uses the term dating app.
So I think that since there now is a right now section for hookups there needs to be a dating section for gay, bi and trans alike to date and not be forced into toxic hookup culture, especially with rising mental health issues amongst lgbtq+ individuals
How can we make our communities safe places if we are constantly forcing hookup culture and toxic behaviour down the throat of our community
