Fake profiles
Grindr is flooded with fake profiles. I see dozens per day. There's a plethora of fake trans profiles that try to lure you to Telegram. Many OF 'creators', but I suspect also fake profiles put there by grindr itself to give the impression there are more people online. Put in more safety guards to prevent bot profiles so I don't get approached repeatedly by fake accounts. I think almost everyone on this app has been approached by a fake 'Hamza from Dubai' or a trans person that wants to do everything if you just go to her Telegram. Also: I'm a gay man looking for a gay man. Why can't I filter this out? Tribes doesn't cut it. Make more fields in a profile mandatory.

My Home Screen is 40% trans profiles that are looking for prostitution. Even though I have trans unchecked in Preferences. This app is no longer about meeting gay men, it’s about dodging a constant barrage of fake profiles trying to send you to websites (solicitation) or even grindr’s own erectile dysfunction ads. Cut out the ads, bots, and give us back our race filters! I’m a white guy not interested in white guys!!! It’s not “racism” it preference. No longer paying $300 a year for this GARBAGE.

I've reported account after account for tap spam, but it doesn't feel like anything's being done about it. And I say this because sometimes I will go to report a spam account and be told that there's still a previous report I made pending from over a week ago.
Speaking of someone who was a paid subscriber, I've actually canceled my renewal for Grindr Xtra. I don't see the point of paying for this service if I'm going to get flooded with Spam taps from accounts that are trying to funnel social media engagement. I would rather use an alternative service.
