Hey Mate, I clearly remember seeing Grindr years ago and it said
"gay hookup and dating app in 2009" $2.99 pm premium.
Lets not forget it is a software company..
So changing bio from #X of words halved & changed to #X of letters to discribe yourself.Reduced basic features e.g. who viewed you and make it premium,
Grindr freezer when it detects a competitor app open simultaneously e.g. Scruff
No multitasking
I can go on.Grindr required millions more profiles before it could sell for its recent sale $608 Million.
Plus receiving fines for selling + Data and user information in ads costing them 11.7 million right before the sale.
The all inclusive is absolute lie as Grindr does not do anything to protect its male users. E.g. ability to filter out female and Trans for obvious reasons.
Gay men are violating community guidelines because they mention only, that is gay phobic.
However trans only in bio's etc are acceptable. My point is Grindr is here to make money like all great entrepreneurs.
Calab with someone and design your own perfect version ?

This app was in fact started as an app for gay males, with no consideration for other demographics. However, Grindr has gotten money hungry and is now willing to open up the user base. They are hiding behind the idea of inclusivity, and are now actively punishing the original user base that allowed their app to flourish in the first place.
If you make any comments in your profile, that you are attracted to only males, your account will be flagged as breaking community standards. If you make any comments in your profile, that you are unwilling to communicate with anyone who isn't male, your account will be flagged as breaking community standards.
Basically as a gay male, if I try to connect with nothing but gay men, Grindr will flag me as breaking community standards.
I'm sorry, I'm a part of the gay male community, I am not a part of the trans or female communities. Given the fact that the purpose of this app, is really just to find sex (don't be a prude, don't beat around the bush) , it absolutely makes no sense for these two communities to be forced to blend. This isn't the place for that, this is one of the few places where segregation is okay.
Just because the world at Large is opening up to trans, doesn't mean that we are going to start seeing trans men in public male locker rooms. Planet fitness isn't going to suddenly allow it. It's within the same logic, that this isn't the place to blend the locker room...

And Brendan that may be but look at what the description was when it started it was not that it's evolved into that which is absolutely insane because now I'm paying for memberships for a whole bunch of other people that aren't even in my demographic that I'm fighting attractive are now in my groups of people that I'm paying to see that's ridiculous I'm not saying that we all can't come together at somebody's but not for dating we have nothing in common when it comes to dating nothing and it is ultimately what this is is it not

I have no idea why women are on the app. I've seen one woman post pictures with her kids as well. It was inappropriate and creepy. And there should be a better way to filter out trans/crossdressers as well. This was originally designed as a male only app.

If you actually read the app description, the first sentence includes trans and queer people
