They can't even make the real time locations work half the time how are they going to make mock locations work? Well, actually.... I guess if they only show your real location at random times that means when they are wrong and are not doing what they should then you are technically in a mock location. Right? So really, they are doing mock locations vert well.... I guess...

Mock location is HORRIBLE idea- just opens up avenues for fraud, abuse and cat fishing.

Though I think mock locations are good for people living in rural areas, it can be abused by catfish, scammers, spammers, etc. I have experienced this personally. I think restrictions or limits need to be kept in mind... perhaps allow a person only to change locations a couple times a week or increase the number of profiles a free account can look up in a day when doing Explore Searches. An indication that someone is in one's area via Explore the should be added to the person using Explore Searches (similar to the "Joined Recently" notation). Or offer a wider variety of membership packages with certain features varying in these packages, and gear one toward those in rush area. Fake profiles are a HUGE problem in Grindr, a colossal waste of time, and my biggest complaint with this app.

Please dont do this!!! It would be a gift to all the fakers out there. If you do decide to introduce this, please make sure that it is clearly marked that the position is fake… preferrably with a big red frame around the profile picture.

I don’t think this is a good idea. I have a guy who keeps creating new accounts just to message me the only way I can find out if the person messaging me is by either the miles on the profile or if it doesn’t have that on I click explorer and explorer move to his neighborhood and if it’s near his home I have to block because he is obsessed. If you can set your location to somewhere else then the multiple account creators and stalkers will thrive which is quite scary
