BRING BACK THE ETHNICITY FILTER
Bring back the ethnicity filter as I would like the choice to choose what I like. I don't think it's fair to leave people with absolutely no choice to decide on what they want. I think the ethnicity filter made life easier it made it easier to find what YOU wanted.
Please bring back the filter so I can finally get what I want again

Please it makes no sense to remove a feature because allegedly it’s shallow when there’s many more other filter with the capability of being interpreted as superficial

I agree!

For all of you hypocrites on hear who are pretending to be warriors anti racism, do I suppose any of you have ever searched someone based on age, body type, gender identity, sex, sexuality, height, kink?? Because if so this works mean you are an ageisr, gender/rransphobic, all around douchebag right? But I guess THAT sounds silly unlike your assessment of how racist someone is to search under ethnicity.. smdh

Then block until the people you deem lesser than are off your screen. Being a racist should ABSOLUTELY be inconvenient.

I totally agree. I’m burning hours on this app trying to find Middle Eastern / Arab in particular because I’d like to meet someone from this background for further meetings, and a filter could be so much time and battery consuming as well as ease my life.

Bobbie H you are correct!
Filters are info driven. Can’t expect them to work right when members keep the info off their profiles!
Cryptic profiles? Blank profiles? We already have those on here.
See it now?!? -

Gaping holes in profiles is always going to be an issue but the filter would work for those that even fill out a couple tags.
I've put my racial preference in my profile a number of times and people have gone out their way to call me a racist in addition to delivering the other abuse a white trans girl gets. -

Your choice should appear on you bio , a filter will not help when someone does not enter all information of themselves

Mishelle commented
Clear, concise and eloquently delivered. Too bad they'll ignore it.

Having an ethnicity filter on Grindr is not inherently racist because it allows individuals to connect with others who share their cultural background and experiences. The filter provides a way for users to find potential matches who may understand their unique perspectives, traditions, and values. It can help create a sense of community and belonging for marginalized groups who often face discrimination in society. By enabling users to filter based on ethnicity, Grindr acknowledges and celebrates diversity, fostering an inclusive environment for all its users

But does your preference like you?

@ozaju I totally agree with you. ethnicity filter doesnt mean discrimination. I love my black cis men. I'm not into trans so it would be great to have a filter so I can choose black cis men. Nothing against trans but I prefer what prefer. To not have this feature is tedious

Explain how it's unethical.

Hello Yann, that a stupid comment.
Due of people like you, things don't improve, because one can't filter in a public place in person, so virtually it won't be possible?. I personally am not attracted to all of them, I do filterNOTE: The fact of filtering by ethnicity DOES NOT MEAN DISCRIMINATION, it is just a preference of taste. For example, I don't like very effeminate people, it's just a preference or taste, but I'm not discriminating against anyone. In fact, the filter HELPS you search for what YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN THE APPLICATION, and therefore feel comfortable.
Greetings

you have your eyes to filter .
when you go to a public place you don't filter the place to interact with the people you prefer .
the reason they remove the filter is because it is not ethical .
