You have FAR TOO MANY popup ads. Some of them you can't get out of unless you choose to pay and then cancel payment. That is a bunch of BS!! I am paying for a monthly plan at the level I want to be. Don't continually hit me up for "boost" or a more expensive level. MOST IMPORTANTLY, DON'T BLOCK ME FROM GETTING OUT OF THE AD.

I've all but stopped using grindr due to all the bullshit ads with and without subscription and boost spams. I find the $7.99 a month for sniffies is actually cheaper and they have a lot less bullshit. sure you have to use browser to access it bc there's no app but that's nothing a home screen link can't fix

Everyone I log in the boost message comes up. STOP! I if you pay for the service stop asking every time if someone wants to boost. You can ask one time then put it in settings if someone wants it. It’s annoying

I’m a new user and this was a shock to me. I think it is a waste. I don’t know if I want to continue with limited viewing or vista. Seems like a if I’m going to watch all of the advertisements and promotional content then the content should be better to access.

I agree. I have canceled my auto renewal and will not be renewing when my current subscription ends if this is still going on. If you are paying for unlimited, there should be no adds. This is crap.

And now they’re forcing full screen ads on everyone EVERY SINGLE DAY, even if you pay for ad free! That’s legit just spam.

Also why am I paying additional money for Unlimited to see who views me (and not get ads) and then I find out I need to boost to really see everyone who has viewed me (plus get spammed by ads for boost). I’m paying a premium and not getting what I pay for. I’ll at best downgrade as there is no benefit to unlimited (who cares about going incognito, with the new approach no one can see your view anyway). Scruff is a better app and cheaper

He is right. It's terrible. And I have a full membership. And to be honest. I don't think it makes a difference. But it makes U look bad grinder. Charging for prime space on the grid. It's kind of descrimination to poor people. And just think only a short time ago gays were discriminated against. Now the poor have to fight. C'mon grinder get a grip.

100% Completely agree with OP and the application of the term BULLSHIT is totally appropriate. Introducing this feature really nothing short of BS and the implications have been poorly considered by the Grindr DEV and business teams. Greed will be your downfall boys.

It should be a small fee to join, and rejoin if you have deleted account, but thats it. Go back to wgen it was like €2 (or dollar etc) or whatever to join up but nothing else. I’ve been on Grindr for 12 years and this new grid algorithm, Boost has been the worst update ever released.

I personally believe, certain features should be a paid features from the app producer.

However, I remember a long time ago, the first time there was a premium service being available to the public, it was fully price.

The price for an ultimate experience is now at $40+ per month is super ridiculous and we’re taking about a hookup site.

If this was a potential dating site rather then just hooking up, then maybe I would be more interested and invested in paying the $40+ per month. Then again, I don’t believe in paying for a fortune for anything digital.

Ridiculous feature for paid users. At the very least allow paying users to disable seeing boosted profiles just like you can toggle online / offline users.

Also highlight the fact that there are boosted by an icon or coloured border and enforce a distance to be shown.

I'll stop paying and move on if I am forced to see profiles offering ma55ages and seeking reward$.

Totally agree - 'boost' is just wrecking the grid. It's screwing up the whole basis of a geolocation-based hookup app! Just get rid of it, please.
