Make it so that nearby means NEARBY not 100 miles away
Nearby means close not 100 miles away that’s a huge thing for people

Seriously remove this useless feature. If we wanted to chat with someone from another state, we’d use the explore/roam feature.

Grindr actually is in the process of releasing the "Boost" feature for which users 7km away or more will look as if they were 300 meters away from you. Grindr documentation also suggests the users to hide their distance to achieve totally cunning behaviour. Because Grindr doesn't care about you.
