Give warnings of any violation
After being a long-standing user of Grindr, making use of all it has to offer in a respectful and honest way, two days ago my account got randomly banned. No warning. My profile had not changed and in my mind did not overtly break the guidelines. I would like warnings on such drastic action please...as this would help users to rectify any unintentional violation of Grindr‘a rules or guidelines. Removing a users account immediately without warning wipes away the access to a supportive network of people that user has come to know and trust. It also isolates the user at a time when vulnerabilities are at their highest. In fact, in my case, it left me in potential danger as I was meeting with a person from the app and was on my way to meet them as my account got banned. I was traveling far to meet this trusted person. The removal of my account stopped me messaging this person. At that point, I was in a vulnerable position in an unknown place unable to seek help and reassurance from the grindr user I had come to trust. To my original point, please give warnings if a user inadvertently breaks the rules as simply removing them does not help anyone. Users need to know the errors in order to change behaviour whilst using the app.

My account was banned but I didn't do anything so can you make it banned for a long time like a half year and then remove banned.

I agree having a similar experience, not traveling but it is a headache to get "unbanned" but even when you do "apologize for breaking community guidelines" that is bullshit because I didnt even understand what my violation was so I could not make the same mistake again. I have been banned twice and had to beg forgiveness for violating guidelines but never been told what I exactly did that got me banned. "One more and it's permanent" doesn't allow me to be sure I don't do it again, it just sets me up to have to make a new profile with a fake email and start all over. Not very user friendly

Yall need to start checking shit before you fucking warn or ban me again. Just because someone doesn't like the fact I'm not into them and aren't my type isn't harassment yall fucking pc to an extreme! Guess what the world isn't snow flakes and butterflies. Grow tf up! If I don't have a connection with someone I'm going to tell them sorry you're not my type and I don't need you cunts breathing down my neck and giving me a warning for nothing! Maybe next time ask for some fucking proof of harassment before warning me over some bullshit that never happened because of the claims of some butt hurt little bitch that doesn't know no means no.

I agree that someone should receive a warning notice before they get banned automatically but I don’t agree with this guy’s statement “born as Nature intended” is clearly offensive - if he can’t see then perhaps he’s on the spectrum or maybe English is not his first language, or maybe he’s not well schooled in general. A less cringe worthy way to say what I think he’s trying to communicate might be “natural born male” - although I’m not quite sure why one would feel the need to state that about oneself when the thrust of his argument is that he should be allowed to state who he’s attracted to.
“M4M” communicates exactly who he is and what he’s looking for without prejudice or judgment.

Please allow us to add certain words or phrases to an auto-ban/block feature. Phrases like '.com' or 'sugar baby' that are always in spam messages.
This would allow users to quickly adapt to the ever-changing spam landscape.

admin should verify first before banning accnt. Anyone can report without evidence. So much crab mentality esp with they are neglected.

It’s all in the title. If I didn’t know I was better than those woes I’d be hurt.

Today after I logged out, I tried to log back in ten minutes later, but all of sudden, it says "something went wrong. If the problem persists, please contact customer support". I followed the troubleshooting steps, downloaded the most updated version, reinstalled it, tried to create a new profile, but I got stuck with those spam checking boxes. I guess my account may have been reported by someone as spam.
I am definitely not spam, because I just purchased an annual subscription last week. If someone reported me, maybe they just don't like the fact that I'm not interested in going out with them. Sometimes, people are jealous and evil.
I already sent an email to Grinder customer support. Please help me solve this issue as soon as possible, as I was actually talking to a few guys that have relationship potential. I would love to get my account back and resume those conversations.
Thank you!

Move to a time frame suspension instead of a permanent ban.

Banning an account because of a provocative profile picture is entrapment.. you accepted the picture because it met the guidelines to your standards.. your guidelines change because some bitter person reported the picture? What about the other profiles that have then same taste in profile pictures??
