Race is a real physical preference and this filter should be allowed. I may not be attracted to men of a particular race and I should have the ability to filter this way

Turn the ethnicity filter back on. Everyone is entitled to their own racial preferences. Stop trying to be politically correct. You cannot engineer racial preferences anymore than you can ****** orientation. I dropped my Extra account and won’t restart it until you reverse this patronizing and offensive policy choice.

Removing the preference will not make folks not into certain ethnicities, start dating or sexing them... not! It’s a preference, get over it and I’m Latino!

I appreciate Grindr's support with regards towards racial inequality and injustices -- I really do. It's an important issue that needs to be addressed, and companies should be applauded for taking a meaningful stance.

But, I cancelled my premium subscription today because the app no longer lets me filter by the guys I would like to see.

I'm kind of confused by this change, to be honest. I know many Asian men who only want to date other Asian men, or many Latino men who feel that they'd prefer to date men who come from a similar background. Removing that filter makes the app objectively less effective in allowing users to filter profiles based on their established preferences.

This change won't influence the end game of any man who wants to date men of the ethnicity he wants to -- so really the change only hurts the end user and as a result, this quite honestly feels like a virtue signal rather than a product enhancement in line with social responsibility.

Best of luck, but I won't be subscribing going forward.

Agreed! I'm sick of going out of my way to block person after person after person! Filters! Hello? No brainer with this one. Smh

When using the filter for ethnicity, it does not work. Simply brings up guys of all ethnicity.
I'm currently on a free trial for 7 days, and so far, pretty unimpressed.
Could you tell me if this is a bug that's being looked into, please?

Having the ability to select the ethnicity of guys you find attractive will make for a better experience

Caveat: I’m a major BLM supporter. Glad to see something positive emerge from the pandemic. BUT, please re-enable the ethnicity feature. I do not believe that our community expressed outrage over the years for listing and being able to search ethnicity preference. This is a hookup and dating app. We should be able to filter and self-police. We don’t need your software developers doing that for us, thank you very much. What’s next NO AGE FILTER because we’re being agist? That’ll be the day and the end of Grindr, ha.
