Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

Why only POC should have the privilege of searching for an ethnic group?
Why grindr should discriminate on the basis of race forbidding any non POC user to user the ethnicity filter?
I support you as long as the ethnicity filter is bring back universally. -

Why POC should have the privilege of filtering by ethnic group?
Why on the basis on my race I am denied my HUMAN RIGHT of being able to chose who I would like to connect with?
Ethnicity filter should be back universally for everybody, then if grindr decides that requires a fee that's fine. -

I agree I don't understand why you are so prejudiced and hateful against other users who are trying to narrow down the result search without harming you or anyone else, why someone who is looking for an asian is necessarily a white man looking for an "exotic bite-sized snack"? You're being racist and tarring all white men with the same brush, what if instead they're looking for a romance?
The very first step is to stop judging people's ****** preferences implying that if you're looking to connect with an ethnic group rather than another one you are necessarily racist.
Grindr as a dating platform should advocated this, people need to get a grip with reality.
Anyone who think that being ignored by someone is necessarily racist without having any evidence should stop looking for a partner online or in the real life and have therapy.

Are you any closer to putting the ethnicity filter back. I think in the international uproar of black lives matter, some very valid issues were raised about the prejudices shown to black people. However removing the ethnic filter is totally unrelated to this cause and it simply makes scruff no longer useful to me and probably thousands of other white men who prefer to date people of colour. It can’t be racist to have a preference for a certain type of man any more than it is to choose an age range. What next ? No roles less were accused of being top-ist or bottom-ist.?
I’m sure you get my point. Pls bring the filter back.
You may not know but I’ve been an annual subscriber for a few years now. But I cancelled my membership and am using other sites where I can screen out the masses. -

Put Back ethnicity filter. You were wrong to remove it. This is a preference and has NOTHING to do with anything else . I will be cancelling Grindr when my subscription expires if this is not restored

"" difference between a minority’s preference and an oppressive racial group’s “preference” ""
Ah fantastic! So now if a black man is only looking for black man not only it's not racist but it's also white men fault?
I can't believe Grindr would support this racist position!

why the ethnic filter should be a privilege of POC?
why a white man shouldn't be able to connect only with POC?
why a white man shouldn't be able to connect only with white man?
why this discrimination against white men? -

I have been unhappy with Grindr since you all have taken away the ETHNICITY option. Why should I have to look through hundreds of profiles before I can find the type of people that I like. Please bring back that option.

Ethnicity was a feature before where you can choose who you search for and who’s profiles you want to see. This is the only reason why I paid so much to upgrade only to find that the option was removed. To be able to set exactly who I am searching for and who I want to see. Can this option be added again please. I spend most of my time on here deleting profiles to be able to see MY choice of profiles. Otherwise you can add that as a reason why one deletes the app...

As someone who only seeks Asian guys, there is no point me continuing with my Xtra subscription as I can no longer filter for "Asian"
This is NOT racism, it's a sexual preference. Grindr and the whole world has gone "racist" mad. Well, you won't be getting any more money from me and I imagine thousands of others. Many found it a useful filter, many didn't care and a tiny few objected but in reality it's Grindr covering their ass. Be bold FFS -

Eh no dear, everybody is entitled to their own preferences, they are not debatable they’re personal not something that can be policed by anyone else. Spare the studies, they’re totally irrelevant.

Indeed

Why removing the filter? We are not entitled to our preferences now? How am I going to find the guys I really like, with the crystal ball? Why imposing to millions of users the requirement of a small fanatic minority?

“ This disproportionally affects black, brown, and Asian men when the goal should be a safe space” reading the comments of black brown and asian men they are all enraged by this change. This is an ideological point being shoved down our throats. It’s wrong.

How the ethnic group filter literally enable racism? No one can police anyone else ****** preferences, I’m looking for Middle Eastern because of their culture, language; look, how this could be remotely racist? The main question though is which superior being are you to impose everyone else on earth your personal opinion and force and coerce them YOUR WAY in their quest to find a partner?
