I am so sick and tired of Grindr Management Team being ignorant to so many GAY men writing about their negative feelings about Grindr being taken over by straight men/women.

i have canceled my subscription and sent this message to Grindr.

Due to you lack of a response to the enormous amount of User Voice messages requesting

- restore the ethnicity filter
- make the Gay grindr gay again by installing a filter to remove men and women seeking straight sex
- restore a two level payment - instead of getting more and more cash of gay men with supplying the wanted service

and no response to ANY of the items - I find it very rude from Grindr management to ignore 8000+ inputs.

I have therefore decided to cancel my subscription until Grindr Management decides to implement a proper customer service.

looking forward to read a proper and correct manager response to this message - not another wishiwishy “go fuck yourself response as always.

Yeah.. we can write here everyday. The owners of Grindr are probably not intelligent enough to understand, they will not change racists, even after deleting the ethnicity filter. This is kind of "tech giant terrorism". We all have to do, what they allow us. The filter was there for years. I have read different studies about the problem: EVERY STUDY SHOWS, PEOPLE ARE NOT LESS RACIST WITHOUT ETHNICITY FILTER. This is a real SCANDAL what You do, Grindr!!! You ignore the community. We should all BOYCOTT You!!

Grindr has successfully got rid of 99% of all other ethnicities except for white men, 99% of the guys on here now are only white men

I'm Caucasian and where I live 95% of guys on Grindr are Caucasians. I'm just trying to find guys from different ethnicities to connect with. I'm very keen on language and cultural exchange. Having no filter option just makes this an impossible task, especially when most profiles don't even have a pic to begin with.
Assuming that people want to filter the minorities OUT, is racist in and of itself. Did it ever cross your narrow little minds that some people actually want to filter them IN?

I think putting back the ethnicity is important for an instance. I am an Asian. I was looking for more mature relationship I'd like to meet someone that does not coming from my own country. For example a foreign person. I guessed their is something more mature and open and trust worthy people somewhere else. That I couldn't find here in my own country.

All humans are racist. Even those who claim that no. If blacks live with whites, or whites go on vacation to Africa, it's only by opportunism or obligation... economic, political, climatic, temporary change of scenery... Moreover to say that we love an ethnic group for such and such a reason, that is also racist. And basically, if people really had a choice, they would choose to live separately from other ethnicities. Here people pay to be in a virtual world, they would like to be able to make this choice, which is removed to them for idiotic ideological reasons.

The fact that this is the most requested feature says a lot about America and its gay community. You all are racists. Look up the definition.

People are going to "discriminate" no matter which filters you take away. Height weight age build facial features, etc. Be honest with yourselves... we all have a certain physical type we're looking for at any given moment. At least we do as healthy CIS MALES. Sometimes I feel like all the complainers are those so unattractive that not even their own ethnicity wants them, cis women, and/or bored trolls.

Huge disservice by eliminating race filter. Selecting someone based on race for sex or dating has NOTHING to do with racism. At this rate, Grndr is going to remove the weight filter because …. NOW DO YOU SEE THIS SLIPPERY SLOPE?

I can't help but mention since someone recently got down on the ethnicity filter and they are apparently using this hookup/casual sex app to find people based on "common interest" rather than sexual attraction which is sometimes based on ethnicity - Statistics have shown that those of us using Grindr for casual sex are happier users than those using the app to try to find marriage. If you don't understand why I a white guy would want BBC on random nights (easier to find with the ethnicity filter on) without calling me a racist based on my sexuality: Clearly you are a "hopeless romantic" perhaps with more dick and ass in and out of your bedroom for those who can't be "single" more than a week yet are always breaking up with their boyfriend once a month... LOL Sometimes, I envy the kind of sex you "hopeless romantics" are having, minus the emotional drama,
mostly because your partners from who-knows-where stay around a good month, whereas mine from this app are mostly one night stands and come in anywhere from daily to weekly to monthly intervals. Cyle, Except when your looking for something specific. Instead you have to filter out people that aren't what your interested in. You assume that everyone is looking to exclude a specific race but it isn't really like that. Guys are just trying to find someone they are attracted to. And saying that guys are using the filter to be racist is you really saying that blacks are inferior, because your assuming that guys won't sleep with them based on their race.

Racism should not be permissible. Selecting someone based on race is hate no matter which direction. Find a person by common interest.

It's not racist at all. The fact that all you people jumping on the "it's racist" band wagon are EXACTLY 💯% the main problem. Sadly we can't filter YOU out from a search. Simply put everyone likes a particular type depending on their tastes and would just like a filter to sort out who they are attracted to so forth and so on. Including a filter for transexuals, couple, and str8 men. But the problem is that Grindr is now catering to ultra left wing, hyper sensitive nut jobs that see the world in their own particular filter which is what got the filter removed in the first place. It is nonsensical to think that these people are even allowed to make decisions. Dallas Lofton, despite his verbal tyraid is absolutely correct once you filter out all the extra. So your either a girl OR a trans which basically makes your usage of the word "dude" odd, and your opinion worthless. Grindr is for GAY BOYS AND MEN looking for the same. Not transexuals, furrys, et ceterea and other people that identify as God knows what.

Frankly, Grindr just isn't worth the price. It's low quality these days both in software and management.
